Philly Area ladies, I have a question

I've been noticing lot of young ladies walking around with these rollers in their hair. They look like they are orange or pink and like they might be thick rods. I haven't seen them up close yet but I was wondering if this is some new trend right now. I've been wondering is these girls have been going to Dominican salons or what. Rollersets are a great alternative to all of the heat styling that people do so maybe we'll be seeing some more natural and healthy looking heads of hair this summer. Anybody notice this?

No, I haven't seen the ladies walking around in bright rollers yet, but I do notice that rod sets and roller sets are popular. But I do hear some Philly ladies complain about the rod/roller sets not lasting long on real hair. So many of them glue and/or sew in weaves and then roller set the hair so they can spritz it up so it lasts longer.

That's funny. I saw a girl yesterday with a head full of rollers. I don't know if its a trend or what. Good, now I can come out the house while my rollerset dries and I won't feel out of place.

I was thinking the same thing. I've been seeing girls wearing their scarves and silk/satin bonnets out in public and that would sure be convenient on a rainy day. Still don't think I'll do it though.

you'll fit riiiiiiight in!!!! i havent seen anyone with rollers in their hair....i still see the chicks with the rump-length braids though! just lookin at it make my neck hurt!

I saw a few of them today too! One girl had to be a size zero... I'm like, how the heck do you hold your head up???
