Phantom PMs

On at least three occasions the PM envelope starts popping up on my screen. I click on it, yet i either have to log in again- and find there is no PM. Or There isn't one in the first place?
I hope people don't think i'm ignoring them.

It means you've been kicked off. If you click "Remember Me" when you log in, you won't get the flashing pm unless there is really one there. HTH
