Personal Products as Cancer Hazards

Hello Ladies! The subject of hormones in personal care products came up over the weekend. I wanted to mention that some products can be hazardous and avoided. We want to look nice and grow out our hair. It is important to do so safely. A lot of people know about this and some are new to the topic. Placenta based products have been found to cause cancer, and breast cancer in women. Children in utero can be exposed via its use. Toddlers can develop breasts and menstrual like discharges. I saw an article online regarding hazardous products when I was using proline perm repair. I had a patient going for a repeat mammogram on one breast. She had a big jar of proline perm repair on her bedside table. I was terrified and threw out my perm repair and no longer purchase products with known hormones. I am going to attempt to add a link.

I hope you ladies can access the information.:yep:

I took a glimpse at the trial. Estrogen and other supplemental hormones are known to increase your chances of cancer. ( I recently graduated from pharmacy school and that something that they made sure we knew, lol) So I'm not surprise that some of these items are linked to cancer, since they contain hormones. You take the same risk when taking oral contraceptives. I've never personally used any placenta products, the name itself deterred me. But it's good to be aware of the products you are using regularly at home and in your hair.

I will bump this for this week so others can see it. I would have done better to post it early on Sunday morning but I got busy!

I saw another thread somewhere on here about women putting antiperspirant on their scalps. I was disturbed and mentioned the numerous studies and ample research into metallic salts like aluminum chloride being known neurotoxins and having connections to everything from hormone disruption to Alzheimer's and cancer. I would think it would give some pause but people are willing to risk putting that on their scalps (mere centimeters from brain matter) to maintain sweat-free hairstyles.
Nothing surprises me anymore.

I'm grateful for such information and I like to share it with all willing to weigh the pros and cons. Unfortunately, some people don't mind rolling the dice with their health if it means maintaining a certain image. Nevermind similar results are possible with fewer or no harmful side effects.

apart from the products listed in the first article ( the list is dated to 1994) does anyone has an update list of products to avoid or any particular ingredient to watch out for.
