Permanent Hair color

I bought permanent haircolor to put in my hair but I won't put it in until Feb. Can anyone give me tips as to how to keep my hair moisturized after it is dyed, as far as breakage and unneccesary shedding control?

Keep it conditioned. I find that heavier products work best for me because they help coat the strands and prevent as much breakage as would normally occur (even before I started coloring). Profectiv cremes (particular Break-Free) helped keep my hair nice and strong as well as castor oil. You can also invest in a clear rinse for some added protection and shine.
