Ladies, I just got out of a relationship and I want to do something different for myself. I am thinking of dyeing my hair. This time I will use textures and tones instead of whatever peroxide infused one i used before. I would like to know what steps I should take to keep my hair healthy. I currently only use jazzing semi permanent but ladies i need a change. Im thinking of an auburn color
Heres some of my regimen that will affect colored hair
I only use heat once a week and thats on shampoo days (CON) when I will lightly flat iron ,rollerset under dryer or air dry in braids<mostly this one, and i some times blow my roots on cool but only when my hair is dry. I straighten my hair on wash days (every week) and i moisturize at least twice a day. I also cowash when i dont like my hair being weighed down, so i guess i wash about every 3 days and i always deep condition.
I can say that I had the list of my color experiment from years ago trimmed off and my hair to me seems pretty healthy. I also do my protein treatments and with the color I will step up on the hot oil pre poos and oil rinses.

Ladies do you think I will be safe. I am also going to do this myself, my last touch up was about 3 weeks ago. I know how to care for my hair now and i understand why my hair didnt strive before. I also apply my relaxers with an applicator brush, the same way I will apply the color. if you ladies have any tips or suggestions they are highly welcome.

Sounds good. Only thing you may really need to do is DC more often.
