Perm rods at 11 weeks does not look good on me....it looks like little worms in dirt lool I'm trying to break the curls up a bit....but it's not looking good so far..... Any suggestions

lol well good for you... i don't have the patience for that! maybe after you loosen the curls a little you could pin it into some sort of updo? maybe half up half down?

I'm trying to figure out whats wrong with it....i dont see anything. It looks great to me. Have you tried fingercombing just a bit?

What do you usually do with your hair when you take the rods out? This is how I set my hair also and I usually finger comb it. Or to make the curls blend in more I'll comb out with a wide tooth comb, last night I used silk elements pommade after combing it out and I had no frizzies. If I want the curls looser than I comb through again, use a little more pommade on the ends and see how it looks. I go through this process till I get it the way I like it.

Girl, no! Your hair is not too short for bigger rods. As long as you can wrap your hair around it, a bigger rod will give you a bigger/looser curl.

I LOVE THIS Headband! I hate claires because they are soo high but I love that headband!
I pulled the curls out, it doesn't look as bad as I thought. It's just a lil EXTRA curly right now, and the newgrowth around the edges is just killing me lol. It's a love/hate relationship. At times I'm like hmmm maybe bein natural wouldn't be so bad, but GOSH I only have 2 inches of new growth and I'm goin krazy of here

omg, i can't believe you said that! i want to scold you for saying that but all i can do is
. It's like a Fox special, "When Perm Rods Go Wrong". Aw, sorry, I too often have the look of the nappy roots and then the rest is smooth from rollers, twists, coils, etc. I would just muss it up a lot and hope the result was presentable.

looks like all you need to do is seperate the curls a little bit. It would be cute if you rock some twists in the front with that hair style.
