What products did/are you using for the following:
-deep conditioning
-conditioner washes
-protein treatments
-moisture(ends/scalp)
-styling products(for the flyaways,nape of neck,etc..)

I've tried transitioning and I found myself using gel more for my edges. A lite one with really good hold is Smooth-n-Shine Hair Gellation. For stronger hold, the best was Fantasia Aloe Vera Gel. A moisturizer good for taming flyaway/edges is ORS Olive Oil Moisturizer. Just add some and brush it in. I was like Dag!

But I didn't like it for the rest of my hair. Made it feel sticky.

-Protein Treatments: Elasta QP Breakage Control Serum

-Moisturizers: I used to use Motions Hair Lotion Oil Moisturizer but got tired of using it and gave it away to a friend. I started using ORS Shea Butter Lotion but it did not work for my hair. I just bought Pantene R&N Daily Oil Cream Moisturizer for my hair but I haven't used it yet. I used to use grease on my scalp, but now I put a mixture of oils sometimes.

-Styling Products: Silk Elements Glossing Polish, Profective Oil Sheen Spray.

-deep conditioning-----Elasta qp shampoo and DPR for deep
-conditioner washes----still experimenting, I will try Suave tropical next
-protein treatments----I don't usually do protein as much but Aubrey GPB is good, I use reconstructors so far Elasta has a good one
-moisture(ends/scalp)-----Wild growth, Avocado, Shealoe butters, Care free care gold
-styling products(for the flyaways,nape of neck,etc..)---Lets Jam for now but I'm looking for a better product. I've heard the IC gels are good.

The most important thing is a good,seamless wide tooth detangling comb or a Denman Brush

protein treatments -- aphogee or k-pak
moisturizers -- distilled water in a spray, follow-up with mango or shea butter. on ends, the same.

styling products -- k-cutter comb, have not used any gel but would like to try ic.

Conditioner washes- Suave milk and honey, Dove intense moisture

Protein treatments- motions cpr, infusium 23 power pac
Moisturizers- ORS olive oil, wonder 8 oil
Styling products- for flyaways Biosilk silk therapy (also use this for rollersets, scarf to smooth the front and nape of my hair

co wash- cream of nature conditioner, dove intense, NTM conditioner
protein- still searching for one i like
moisturizer- oil mixture and NTM leave in
styling-i use a tiny bit of cocobutter lotion (the really cheap kind) and smooth n shine gellation for edges (rarely need) and black n sassy setting cream (cant remember the name, too lazy to get up)

i also use a wide tooth comb to detangle. when i dry my hair in the pont tail method i use a rat tail comb to make sure it is straight when i pull it back.(be careful)
