Paraben Free Pomade/Grease

After reading the various threads, I was wondering if someone could recommend a paraben free pomade. I am looking for a product that can be used on the scalp and hair. It would also be nice to have one that smells good but that's not a priority. The product can be either mail order or purchased locally. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Kemi Shea Butter Pomade

myhoneychild.com has some nice products, including pomade or grease. The samples are pretty reasonably priced and nice sizes to try out different things.

I order Myhoneychild Sophia's Old Fashioned Hair Grease through the mail. I like the fragrance ( it smells like peaches) due to the peach oil. It does not contain any parabens and the ingredients are great: Sunflower butter, Raw Honey, Rosemary Oil, Olive Oil, Fruit Enzymes, & Fresh Peach Oil. I bought the 4oz. jar for a little more than $5.00, it should last a while a little goes a long way.

What's wrong with parabens?

I just learned about this a couple of days ago myself. Parabens are preservatives and apparently they were found in breast cancer tissue in one study. They are supposedly "estrogenic and disruptive of normal hormone functions."

I looked at my hair products and a LOT (even Elucence Moisture Balance conditioner, etc.) have parabens (iso-whatever paraben, etc.). I hope it's safe but I might cut down on products that have them just in case. :ohwell:
