Pantene\'s Smooth and Sleek as a leave-in???

Newbie question to follow:

K, I know this is gonna sound ridiculous, but how do you use this as a leave-in? Every time I have ever just left a regular conditioner in my hair it got all thick and sticky and gross. Is there any trick to this?

Also, I always thought alcohol was drying to hair. Is this not true? Is there a certain alcohol to look out for? I ask cause I think I saw some sort of alcohol in the ingredients list on the S & S.

I use it as a leave in when I where my natural curls..it definitely helps define my curls and gives it some 'weight' so I don't get as much shrinkage. If I'm doing a regular set then I rinse it out...cause it's too heavy and leaves a coating.
