I haven't used the Relaxed and Natural version but I will have to put that on my to-buy list! What else have you noticed about it? Does it seem better than the other conditioners?
It is heavier & a bit creamier than their regular conditioners. It's a good heaviness, not a bad one. I wondered at first if they were going to use a drip-drop of coconut and jojoba oils just so they could list them in the ingredients, but I definitely notice a difference between this conditioner and my Daily Moisture Renewal. It detangles like nobody's business too!
I mix Smooth & Sleek with my oils of coconut and olive as a leave in. Yes it does smooth down my new growth very well! It helps me get to that "three month" mark.
I have not used the Pantene Relaxed and Natural line. I like sticking with the stuff I use already (attempting to not become a PJ).
It makes my hair very soft. I used that conditioner all through my transition, when I went natural and even now. I put that stuff on and my hair seems to spread like the red sea when I comb it.
I used to use hydrating curls before I switched to relax and natural pantene, but that was because it had almost the exact same ingrediants, but was 2 dollars cheaper than regular pantene, now that the other conditioner prices are about the same, I don't know if I'll keep on buying it or go back to my true blue hydrating curls.
I won't use the relaxed and natural shampoo though. I love pantene pro-v shampoo and I won't switch.
Pantene for relaxed and natural is the bomb. It excellent moisture for the hair. My hair detangled so good, I wanted to just cry because I was having problems with detangling my hair. Pantene for relaxed hair made my hair so soft. I haven't felt my hair that soft in a very long time. My hair felt unreal. I did not buy the spray, but I am going to try the spray next time.
Oh boy here we go again -- Pantene Relaxed and Natural you say? Ok will do, I'm sure there is room in my house for yet another conditioner. Thanks Supergirl! Sigh.....
I tried to tell people on this list who were skeptical about PRN, but some people get so caught up in whether Pantene's was deliberately trying to patronize or be condescending towards blacks, when in fact, this is a terrific product. I use the conditioner for my no-poo washes and it's the BOMB. Once a week or so, I'll use the PRN shampoo, and it too is great! I use the clarifying shampoo once a month. I never had a problem with Pantene and I think that what they are doing for black women, including FINALLY promoting natural hair, is TERRIFIC. Props is due, ya'll...
I use the Pantene Relaxed and Natural and it does make my new growth softer and it keeps my hair more moisturized between washes. My hair tended to get a little dry but since I started using the Pantene that hasn't happened. I'm assuming it's the Pantene, the only other thing I've done different is started using Distiledl water to wet my hair every morning before I put it in a bun... Maybe it's the use of both the Pantene and the Distilled water, but whichever, my hair is liking it.
Y'all that are thinking about trying it--I can't say enough about this stuff. I'm going to try using it as a leave-in next. If Pantene, really wants to patronize me--they can start making this in a gallon tub for me
I'm going to have to check this out. I'm actually looking for another conditioner, just seeing everyone talking about using a good moisturizing conditioner after a protein treatment so I've been lurking trying to find a good moisturizing conditioner. I'll most certainly try this out on me and my baby's natural hair. Definitely need super detangling for a 4-year old.
I love this line! I use it alternately with my Keracare... hence I have a high end and low end product. I especially love the Pantene Relaxed and Natural conditioner for when I do conditioner washes. My daugther's hair is natural and it does wonders. I give the product a big thumbs up. People at the board were not thrilled with the fact it had petrolatum in the shampoo, but I think it helps to seal in moisture and not strip the shaft. That's my thinking. Anywho... I love these products! Especially the conditioner!!!!
Ok now I’m hooked. I was staring at this stuff in Walgreens just today but I didn't get it. Now I need to know how’s the shampoo with this brand? I like to get matching products for the most part and I’m truly trying to stretch my relaxer longer while air drying.
I like the shampoo as well. I too usually love to use matching shampoo/conditioners... even though sometimes I skip the shampoo and do conditioning washes with the conditioner....
well i am happy, i just got back from the HSS, and i brought some pRN, keracarehumecto, and some vo5, for my CD washes...im glad i did buy the PRN cause it is all the rave!!
probably, i remember when i was apart of another board, a jewish lady joined the board and asked for hair care info she said her hair texture was very close to AA texture...so i think they would....
I've only tried the shampoo and I fell in love with it. I have tangle problems with my widow's peak and crown area and even CON didn't help that. But the shampoo did. It's definitely a keeper even more since I was able to use Motions Moisture Plus after it and had no problem (last time I used MMP it was after CON and I had tangles so bad). I'm thinking of chucking CON and keeping Pantene and Elasta QP's Scalp Stimulationg shampoos as my regular rotation.
I like Targets's ripoff of Pantene's Curly formula. It is only $1.99 and it is the same size as the pantene (smaller)bottles. It is the best. My hair looks its best after using that.
I haven't bought the Pantene R&N seems gimmicky and too expensive to me. And what is the deal w/putting petroleum in black haircare products?? The shampoo has petroleum in it. I wash my hair to get garbage like that out! ugh.
I can truly say this product is the total bomb!!! Nothing else for its' price ($2.54 each at Target) will make you hair feel as soft, silky, moist and just wonderful!! I could do commercials for Pantene's R&N line!!! By the way, why haven't I seen a commercial for it? I LOVE the fact that they have products directed toward us, because our hair needs are different from those with Straight European hair! Plus, it's sooooo good! I too was worried about the Petrolatum, but after I tried it I was like "WOW"!!! Supergirl, I want a tub of that stuff too!!! I can't get enough!
