I may have to start paying you a consulting fee

Kisz,

Bugging me? Never....!

Remind me - what kind of color did you do - perm or semi?

No fees necessary. Your healthy, vibrant hair is my reward.

I did an all over touch up when I re-did my color last month.

That isn't what I'll do generally though. And I hadn't permie colored for a year.....

So I guess my answer is, yes, if you must, even it out some. But protect the areas that are light enough with conditioner or something so you don't lighten those more, and leave the color on for half the time it says on the box - about 10 minutes (TOPS!) after you are done applying.

And then NEVER do it again!

Roots only. At least that's what I'll be doing.

When did you color last? When do you want to do it again? WHen is your next relaxer? How soon after your relaxer did you do it the first time? How quickly did your roots process? Are they what is lighter? If so, that's different and we can talk about how to fix it. Lemme know....

Or post a pic of your hair so I can see it - that would be best.

Kisz4ti,

Why are you already thinking about doing your color again? Didn't you just do it a few weeks ago?? I use the T & T too, and I only do my retouches every 10-12 weeks...

I think it's best not to use it too much - although it doesn't contain ammonia, it does have peroxide, which can also be drying. I'm curious to hear Tracy's response though!

Also, how is your color doing?? Do you find that it's getting lighter the more you wash it? Is it getting more uniform?

If Lindy's memory serves her correctly then I take back everything I said.

You should wait, wait, wait and even with a rinse. Tell me where and how it's uneven? Pweese? We'll need to proceed with real deliberation and caution.

1. I put in the color a day or two after you did yours ( I don't have my hair journal with, don't remember exactly when)
2. I thought I could recolor it again in 4-6 weeks I opted for the earlier so I wanted to do it in a week or two.
3. I'm going on 11 weeks post relaxer.
4. I have no idea how quickly my roots processed, but are you referring to color or relaxer?
5.Prior to my last relaxer I didn't have this color.
6. There's an area on at the center of my head on the roots that came out much lighter than everything else, some places look really dark, other's look a dark golden red, other places look just dark red, but don't get me wrong it still looks nice because it all blends, I'm really going to try to post a pic, I'm going on vaca Saturday for a week, so it will have to be after that.
Thanks, I''ll pay the lady at the front

Hi Lindy

I wanted to do it so soon because My hair still isn't uniform and my baby hair wasn't touched before and it's noticeable. If anything I think it's getting darker with washing. I still love my color, it just varies in some areas of my hair in the center by my hairline is the lightest. I just wanna have the same color all throughout

Some areas of my hair look like they weren't even touched with color, like if I parted across half my head the back half wouldn't look like it was colored until the maybe the last 5-6 inches of my hair some of the sides are really dark and other areas look dark red, some dark brown, and the lightest part looks a golden red.

Kizs - which of the "colors" that you achieved did you like the best?

The darker ones or the lighter ones?
