Paging All Ushers

I am interested in joining the Usher Ministry in my church on the first of the year. I plan to attend the first meeting of the year. But, I am in the process of getting my attire and schedule together. Does anyone know of a website that would have usher guidelines? I would like to have some initial information before the first meeting. I appreciate any suggestions that you may have for me.

I am a former usher, I ushered from about age 6 to 18. There maybe a website for ushers, but what type of information are you looking for? The Usherboard meetings tell you about guildlines, protocol, and procedure, and some churches have their own, so I don't know if what you are looking for for your church will be available on a website for ushers, but it may be. I suggest that you just wait for the meeting, unless you have some other ideas in mind.

I'm a former usher from when I was a preteen, teenager. Since my dad is the Usher Board president he just told me what to do as usual.

Me too. It was either usher or choir for me and I chose jr usher board. It had its perks I guess I never heard of guidelines though. We just passed out fans and programs, escorted people to seats or made seats for people to sit.
