Girl how long you got /images/graemlins/grin.gif! Maybe long I'll try to keep it brief!

I stopped relaxing on December 1, 2000 after, thinking I was totally natural, had my entire head relaxed after 6 months of wearing braids on and off (this was April, 2000). Well my hair turned out beautiful and had grown super long for me(about 4/5 inches pass my shoulders) but begin to show the damage over time. I initially believed that the relaxers had taken my hair out since it would only grow 4 or 5 inches past my shoulders and then break so I went natural. I discovered about a month ago from one of the members here that what broke my hair was not the relaxer but the improper appication of the relaxer!

Moving forward, I put in a Vigorol(what's up with that /images/graemlins/confused.gif) and stank like a skunk in my head for a month! Since then, boards like this one and others have saved my hair! /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I am still natural, still growing, and loving it!
I condition wash (hair is curlier, no difficult comb-outs and even softer), use almost no heat (maybe 2 - 4 times a year, although it could change /images/graemlins/smile.gif) and I love shea butter, olive oil, mango butter, coconut oil (any thing that is suppose to moisturize) I make up a concoction and use it!

Sorry so long and thanks again for your help!

P.S. My hair is 4 - 11 inches from scalp to ends and 17 inches from widow's peak to shoulders. Although I'm still pouting since is hasn't reached the length it was when I went relaxer crazy /images/graemlins/frown.gif!
