ORS Smooth-N-Hold Pudding

Anyone tried this stuff? I saw a commercial for it over Thanksgiving weekend and instantly wanted to try it . . . once I looked at the ingredients, though, I think I might skip it . . . it has mineral oil, which is no good on my head. Also, I have had decent results using aloe vera gel . . . trying to get out of being a product junkie and trying every new product that comes along.

Just the same, I'd be interested to know others' experience with this product.

I use it sometimes when I smooth my hair into a ponytail but don't want the hardness of gel. It's really just average, just good enough for me to not throw it away. I tried it once all over my head for a braid out. It looked cute but it didn't feel cute. I also bought this is a PJ fit and if i were you I wouldn't purchase it. Unless curiosity is getting the best of you and that $5 dollas is burnin a hole in your pocket!

Agreed. I used this for a braidout and it came out defined and cute but my hair felt a little heavy and greasy. Its probably the mineral oil in the product and because I have fine hair. Its an okay product through. I havent used it again for that very reason and I've also found a better product for my braidouts when I do them. HTH

My hair loves this stuff. I use this to smooth down my edges instead of using gel. It works great on my 4a hair.

I have tested it a little bit and it helps give curl definition for wash and go's on natural hair without the hardness of other products and didn't shrink up as much.
