Ive heard many people on this board state they do not like the ORS Replenishing Pak. I want to know why. ORS is like a super duper conditioner. I really have no complaints. The only thing I noticed is sometimes it makes my hair too soft and my hair tends to fall out and break easily with the conditioner in my hair so I try not to comb it through so much but after I rinse the hair is fine .

I liked it at first too. I was deep conditioning with it regularly. Then it lead to massive buildup and an 11 hour detangling session. I gave mine to my cousin.

Lys

I like the orange scent, but not the feel of it. It feels too sticky. I like conditioners that slip, slide and slime their way thru my hair.

I've heard feedback about the stickiness and build up as reasons as to why some do not like it.

Yep, this is why. I noticed this problem with the new formula. I used to love the old formula.

Also, to solve the issue w/ mushiness OP, I found that adding monthy protein (Aphoghee 2 minute) treatments worked best.

I actually just bought this last night in a bottle form. My relaxed hair loved this, but I've yet to use it on my natural hair. I'll prob deep condition with it tomorrow.

I know the first time I used it the sticky feeling did throw me off a bit, but I couldn't deny the results. I never experienced build-upbecause I tend to deep condition after a thorough clarifying shampoo.

i get it in pak form.. not bottle.. I love it still.. it is really the only DC that i like for my hair.. never have a build up issue and it really leaves my hair soft and well conditioned

Yeah I love it. I found it around the same time I found this site and it hasn't steered me wrong yet. I do switch up between the ORS pak and my Pantene Relaxed and Natural Damage Remedy for DC'ing though.

I tried a bottle but the last time I used it, I let my hair dry with no product and my hair didn't feel moisturized like it does with my other deep conditioners.

It also smelled a little fishy to me.

I luv luv luv this stuff. I use it once a week with no problems. I always make sure to rinse thoroughly and also use PC after then another good rinse.

I like it too although it does make my hair too soft if I leave it in too long. For me 15 minutes with heat is about all I can take, before my hair gets mushy.

I use this and like it a lot. Honestly if you like it on your hair then that's all that should matter. Everyone's hair is different and everyone has different standards for determining what consitutes a good or bad product. Just pay attention to how it makes your hair feel and behave and make your decisions based on that. HTH

I like the old bottle havent tried the new one and dont plan on it.

I like the old formula too. Just ran out of my second big bottle which lasts about 9 months to a year and have three bottles left.

It's moisture heaven for my hair -- even while relaxed and now transitioning.

My hair loved it but I don't use it anymore. I think some people don't like it because of the protein in it. My hair hates protein but didn't have a problem with it.

If it makes your hair too soft than you probably need to do a protein treatment. Is your hair fine? I have read that ladies with fine hair benefit greatly from using protein more regularly than those with coarse hair.

I tried it once, and it just took one pack for my hair--to my surprise. I'll try it again, but I like it.

I couldnt imagine using the ORS several times a month. It makes my hair way too soft and mushy to do it that often and my hair is very very thick . I will contuinue to use it once a month though. It is good for stretching a relaxer IMO .Thanx for answering my question ladies :)
