ORS paks don't do much of anything for me either when I use it alone. But I use it with a dab of my trusty Porosity Control and my hair comes out really moisturized. I just don't like dabbling with the little packs.

Yeah. I was just about to say this. I ALWAYS use it with PC. I love it! But for me, I think it would work either way. I use PC no matter what conditioner is going on my head.

Locks, if you do try it again, I'd def. suggest trying it with PC mixed together. And clarify before using it too. If it still doesn't work, send it to me! j/k. lol.

If you just leave it in with or without a plastic cap like in a pre-poo it will make your hair hard. Personally I find it works better if you mix a little 100% protein conditioner then sit under a hood dryer or heat cap.

Ditto.

I mix mine with UBH deep condtioner and sit under my dryer for 20 minutes or so. I have tried to skip the dryer and the mixing and that just didn't cut it...must mix it and must have heat!

Blessings,
dk

Mestiza, I just brougth another pak today. I will review it and I will let you ladies know. I am using it next weekend.

Did you get a chance to use it, again? If so, how did it work for you?

I used to use this conditioner every wash and after the awhile I got the same feeling. I only use this when I clarify on a regular basis.

Maybe I need to do the same and give it another try.

It did not work for me either. I tried it several times. I ended up giving my supply to KhandiB.

It felt good during the rinse, but I could tell during styling and in the days following that something wasn't right.

Just wasn't for me, I guess. I think it left some kind of filmy stuff. My hair doesn't like that. That is why I don;t use CON either. It gave my hair the same problem.

The samething happen to me. I was all ready to love this but my hair didn't.

I use this either a as an overnight pre-poo and follow-up with a quick poo and mild protein DC or as a straight-up mouisturizing DC. I love the smell and my jilbere shower comb just glides through my texlaxed hair when I detangle.

wow... i love the OR Replenishing Pak
it makes my hair really soft and gives alot of slip...
doesnt it have protein in it??
(im too lazy to look at the ingredients right now:lol: )
if so then, the protein could be
making some people's hair hard:ohwell:

What are we going to do with your and your strange hair? Everytime i turn around, products that we used just don't work for you.:(

Anyhoo... do you need something for your dry hair? Is that the problem... moisture?

I love it, but:

I always shampoo first with Keracare hydrating/detangling;
I always use heat, 15-30 min w/plastic cap
I rinse under the sink with a handheld beauty hose.

My hair always comes out feeling soft, and very moisturized. Easy to comb through.

ETA: though I've never tried to flat iron afterwards, I always airdry.

They worked great for me, but I tried the pack in my lil girls hair and it turned her hair into a tangled, matted mess!! Detangling was hell...........

I like the ORS paks. I'm looking for the bottled version locally. My hair has always tangled no matter what condish I've used, even CON. A few squirts of the newly discovered Aphogee Pro-Vitamin Leave-In quickly takes care of all my tangles though.

Here are the ingredients from the ORS RP:

Water Aqua , Soybean Oil Glycine Soja , Glycerine , Olive Oil Olea Europaea , Hydrolyzed Collagen , Quaternium-80 , DMDM Hydantoin , Amino Silk Acid , Dimethicone Copolyol , Orange Oil Citrus Aupantium Dulcis , D'Limonene , Panthenol Vitamin B5 , Dimethicone , EDTA , Chamomile Extract Anthemis Nobilis , Sage Extract Salvia Officinalis , Nettle Extract Urtica Dioica , Rosemary Extract Rosmarinus Officinalis , Aloe Vera Gel Aloe Barbedensis , Yarrow Extract Achilea Millefolium , Kiwi Extract Actinidia Chinensis , Polyquaternium-37 , Trideceth-7 , Triethanolamine , Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans , Methylchlorosothiazolinone , Methylchlorothiazolinone , Yellow No. 6 CI 15985 , Yellow No. 5 CI 19140

Sorry Locks, I can't believe the ORS pak doesn't work for you. It makes my hair slip like nobody's business, but again, everyone's hair is different.

For example, I can't use coconut milk. I tried twice...and each time my hair was a matted tangled mess.

We must be hair twins:grin:

Same here. My stylist also hated it, she said it's too heavy and kills the bounce.

I think that this is the reason Cathy Howse suggest washing hair again after DC. :ohwell:

My hair hated the ORS pak. I tried over and over to MAKE it work, but my hair still said no-no-no-no-no.

It didn't work for me immediately after a relaxer-- I will try it again soon and update on this thread.

I depends on this CONDITIONER if nothing else this my favorite conditioner with or without any other kinda,( ORS REPLENSHING PAK ):look: always works for me no doubt about it.:ohwell:

I tried it last night and it was pretty good. I liked the way it left my hair feeling. But it's not as much slip as motions moisture plus conditoner. But the in shower slip was good. I have one more pak that I will try again in a few weeks.

I know man!

See my hair really doesn't have dryness issues like that tho. But I tried it again this weekend and I dunno if it was the CON green label shampoo, but it was pretty good.

Thank God,I almost lost faith in you and your hair, lol.

My hair LOVES this stuff and I'm sorry to read so many problems others have. It makes my hair so soft, with ridiculous slip. I usually leave it on 1-2 hours with a plastic cap. Or 15 minutes under the dryer. I've even left it in overnight, but my hair was actually too soft after that.

It's amazing how so many people can have so many different responses to one product.:look:

i've only used it once and had pretty good results; instead of sitting under the dryer, i just applied a shower cap on and left it on for about an hour using no heat.

I like this product... but it's def. something I cannot use often.

There have been about 4x that I have tried the packets and ALMOST always got the same results... going on, my hair felt smooth and soft, but when I washed it out... my hair was HARD and TANGLED and STIFF .

One day, I bought the bottle for the hell of it, and I tried it again. I used it with heat for 15 minutes and after I rinsed it out, I lightly pooed it out with Design Essentials poo since this is a very moisturizing shampoo. My hair felt sooo much better this way. Well, I've been using the bottle for about 2 months now, but sometimes I realize my hair will have that 'protein' feel to it.. this is def NOT a conditioner that I can use weekly, or even biweekly for that matter. I notice that if I use it when my hair seems to not need the protein my hair will not have that 'soft' feel to it at all.
Locks try to find ways to experiment with it. I ain't gonna lie, I bought the bottle b/c I really wanted this conditioner to work for me hair since everyone's hair loves it, even the BSS be sold out fast.

Dang girl! Now that botte is sitting there collecting dust. LocksofLuv will glady take that bottle off of your hands if you need her to!:lachen:

But forreal. Like you, I really wanted this to work for me. It has great ingredients and I LOVE the smell. But I tried it again this weekend, and my hair liked it. My hair was a pretty texture after using it. But my out-of-shower detangling session wasn't as good as it is with motions. But I will give it another assesment since my in-shower-detangling might have been the cause of it not detangling well.

Overall, some parts of my hair detangled like butta, and others were hard to detangle. But I can't get over how nice it left my hair feeling.
