im currently.. at 11:13pm april 25 using it for the very first time.. its sooooooooooooooo soft and creamy and yummy smelling.. but i think i did a boo boo.

i used the whole entire pak! it was soo much n i didnt realize maybe i shouldnt have used the whole thing.. especially because i have nl hair. am i wrong? or was i suppose to use the whole pack?

and with my shower cap on.. how long do you guys normally leave it in ur hair? a friend told me they left it on too long and it ended up hard.

im getting a sew in tomorrow and i want my hair as healthy as possible...

i did an aphogee 2min keratin reconstruct treatment... a egg/evoo prepoo treatment.. and now a simple ors replenish deep conditioning treatment.

tell me what you guys think!?????? tia

I luv that stuff--I always stock up and use it at least every other week if not every week! It gives me so much slip. I dont think my hair has ever become hard from it. I usually put on a plastic cap and dc for 10-15 minutes with heat.

It's never made mine hard either .. I used to do it 20-25 w/ heat .. but I'm so lazy nowadays I usually do it overnight. And I use the whole pack.

It's a light protein, are you concerned about protein over load? I would have followed the first two things you did with a moisture conditioner. It may work out fine, just beware you did 3 protein treatments in one sitting.

condition with sunsilk hyrdra tlc cond
then dc with the ors olive oil replenish pak

then im going to soon enough wash it out and blow dry only because id rather both dry my roots than them do it in the morning before they braid to prepare for my sew in... first sew in ever.. lawd

thanks u guys!

I sleep in my ors pack and in the morning my hair feel like butter . I mean a whole new texture and I am 4 weeks post . I love love love this stuff

I often use the whole pack and have left it on for hours. I've had no adverse effects.

I love it too! It has to be the best treatment to balance protein and moiture in the same product. Isn't it half moisturizing half protein?? It works for me. I use it once a week. I usually don't do the whole pak, bc I'm usually heavy handed with products, I didn't wanna overdo it but now I just might. My hair has never gotten hard from using it. I usually leave it on 20 - 30 minutes with heat. At one point I thought Sallys had stopped carrying it, but I've spotted it in so many other places now I feel safe that my beloved ORS replenshing pak will be fully stocked at atleast 4 other locations.:lachen:

I love ORS and haven't had in adverse affects. I've always used the entire package. Hair has never been hard.

I think someone mentioned this but your concern should be the amount of protein you put in your hair.

You did:
an pre-poo with egg (Protein)
Aphogee (Protein)
ORS Replenishing Pak (Protein)

I'm just hoping that your hair has enough moisture to sustain the amount of protein you used. I guess all should be well (maybe others could chime in) but in the future I wouldn't suggest so much protein at one time. Maybe you should use one or the other.

Just my humble and honest opinion:ohwell:

Good luck with your sew-in tomorrow:grin:

my hair loves it i bought it in bottle form from sallys it makes my hair so so so so soft and easy to comb through i used it today to roller set my 12 weeks post hair it saved me

I just went and bought 2 pks from sallys today! I use it dc and i love it as well!

Overloading on protein...that's a good point sKandi makes.

I use it. Back when I used Motions CPR I'd use Olive oil pack right after to moisturize and 'soften' my hair. LOL I guess I see the flaw in my thinking now that I know it's not a moisture treatment.

I used to do cholesterol w/egg, CPR and olive oil pak. Seriously.
But it did actually soften my hair, y'know? My hair has never hardened with that Pak.

...and hair washing is always a day long event for me so I'd just be running around, cooking, studying, and watching tv. Sometimes I'd sleep in it. Wake up some hours later and wash it out.
I'm just glad nothing fell out!

At the time I was buying a lot of what I thought were moisturizing treatments. Sometime I was correct; sometimes I wasn't.
I think I was throwing so many products in my hair it sort of...balanced itself out. Somehow.

Love the smell.

ORS Replenishing conditioner is a moisturizing deep conditioner. The small amount of protein in it is silk protein/silk amino acids which are softening proteins. I've od'd on moisture when I use the ORS Pak which I why I don't sleep with it overnight. I did that once and it made my hair tooooo soft(very soft, gummy and elastic) and caused minor breakage.

Also, OP as long as your hair is soft and isn't breaking then you should be good ;).

I LOVE this product. I actually DC at my gym! I exercise quite a lot so what I do is after my swim, wash my hair and then apply ORS, shower cap and stay in the sauna with it for 15-30 mins!:grin::grin: I get soft hair that is strong! I am so glad I found this. It is now my staple DC.
