ORS Lye relaxer questions? Please help or refer me to a thread.

Ok so I am a bit anal about this relaxer I got today.

So questions:

How does the ORS lye relaxer smell?
What about the consistency?
Does it have a seal?

I ask becasue I got some from this Asian beauty supply store, It was two differnt kinds one had a printed label and one had a sticket label. The consistency is very different from the no-lye version. It was thicker and the top was like normal cake frosting. But i didn't smell anything and that is what concerns me the most. Also the fact that it doesn't have a safety seal.

I actually called the company but they don't put expiration dates on it, and I forgot to ask about the saftey seal.

I don't think I can return it but I don't care, as long as I have my hair i am fine!

I used this maybe a year and a half ago, but if I remember correctly mine was as you described. It had no seal on it, when you screw off the top you just see the relaxer.It was very thick and had no smell. All lye relaxers don't come with seals on them.Silk Elements Relaxer is like that too,It has no seal to peel back.It's just the relaxer when you open the jar.
