I'm just curious has anyone used this product and if so what are your results from it? I'm curious because I use it as an protiene / deep conditioning thing, is the right thing to use it for?

I've used this product a couple of times and don't care much for it. IMO, it's just a cheap dime-store product that just sits on your hair and doesn't actually help it.

My hair loved it (30 minutes w/o heat). thank you hair buddy. I am 4a/b, thick hair. ORS sure isn't cheap to me. It's 7-10 dollars at some stores.

ive never tried this product before...i use real mayonaise as a deep conditioner (with a little EVOO mised in) and my hair just loves it....im 4a/b natural...its the softest my hair has ever been....if the ORS is too expensive, you might try regular mayo (not dressing, no miracle whip, full fat REAL mayo)...sure you smell like old nasty potato salad for a little while...but its SOOO worth it!

I use to use it, and my hair liked it a lot. I had then started the curly girl routine (no-poo)and realize that one of the ingredients was that sodium lauryl sulfate (?) so I quit. But I think I am going to restart it. I decided that I am going to start continuing to use what I see is good for my hair versus what I read sometimes.

It was too heavy for my hair. It just weighed it down too much for me to like it.

ITA. i love mayonnaise.

I had forgotten how much my hair like this product before finding the hair board so I just started back using it and my hair is glad.
I use it to grow back in my bald spot last year.

I bought a sample of it and liked it. I washed my hair, then conditioned it with regular conditioner. Then got out the shower, applied the ORS and sat under the dryer for 30mins. My hair rinsed out well, and felt stronger. I liked it. Will buy another sample, but not the whole jar. It's like 10bucks.

I used to use this for about 3 years straight and my hair was as healthy and detangled as can be. I use to leave it on for 2 hours and my hair would be strong and moisturized. I've tried using it several times before and the results were less than pleasant. I think the key is to use it with consistency. I may look into purchasing it once again.

I thought I was the only one. It left my hair so thick and heavy and it just felt like a sticky nasty coating was on it. I had to wash my hair again. This is the same thing Salerm did to my hair. I will never use this ORS Mayo again.

For those of you who have had success with ORD mayo, how long do u leave it on? Do u use heat with it ?

I love this product! It leaves my hair feeling moisturized. I usually use it under the bonnet dryer for 15 minutes. The last time I tried it, I increased the time to 25-30 minutes, and my hair did feel softer than usual. I use it once a month.

Thanks for the comments, I use it and before I used it my hair "shedded" ALOT, my hair would be all over the back of my shirt because id strecth out relaxers, but now it's way better. I just get the normal shedding, so for me it's pretty good. But I just wanted to know what ya'll thought. Thanks.

when I used it, it was w/o heat for about 15 minutes. I tried it with heat and got pretty much the same results

I really love this product. I use it with heat for 20-30 minutes and it always leaves my hair soft and moisturised.

maybe I didnt give it a fair chance before, but I think its too expensive for no more than what it does. I get better results doctoring up my plain old cholesterol w/ some honey and EVOO and/or coconut milk that I have laying around the house. And I pay as much for my nexxus humectress which is the best all purpose conditioner Ive found. It can be used as a quickie conditioner, a deep conditioner, and a leave in...some even use it as a hairdressing. I love that stuff! Then again it may have been at the time I used it my hair was beyond anything helping it besides cutting it off(which I did)...but Im reluctant to spend $10 again to find out...thats as much as some salon products.

i didn't like it...it was good for smoothing when i was transitioning...but it usually left my hair dry...so it was a waste
