I just saw CoilskinksCurls's product review on Ori Organics. I know how much you ladies love to try new products so I wanted to inform you about the company. They currently having a sale and it ends tomorrow.

I ordered a couple of their moisturizing whipped butter creams. They were really gritty like Coils mentioned and it took a while to rub into the hands to get a smooth application. The smell is ok, kinda like that yellow cake mix. It gets nauseating after a while. :ohwell: Other than that, it was an ok product for the sale price. It did the job. Perhaps it would do well to sell in colder months to keep the whipped texture going.
 
I ordered 2 curl styling buttercreams but haven't received them yet. Their customer service is CRAP so I won't be ordering anything else from them no matter how good the products may be!
 
checked out the website. All the ingredients sound pretty good. Maybe I'll pick up a few samples to try out
 
I've had nothing but repeat "success" from this company.:yep:

Both with their Shipping & Customer Service. I felt their shipping is a bit "high".:ohwell:

And I feel they should keep their prices where they are especially w/those shipping costs.:ohwell:

I have purchased:

Golden Jojoba Hydrating Conditioner *which I co-washed with yesterday and loved*
The Restorative Hair Masque
The Buttercream Balanced Moisturizing Leave-In

The Latter 2, I have not tried yet.

But what I found "most" interesting, is all their ingredients on just about every product they have listed are the exact same.:perplexed

That stood out to me as interesting. I also think the 3 things that I have all smell exactly the same too.:perplexed

But for me, overall, it has been a good e-shopping experience.

Empressi has a really good and objective YT review of this company as well.:grin:
 
The ingredients reminds me of stuff I already have so I think I will pass on this one. The hiar milk looks the most interesting to me in the video if i was going to get something, I like it thick like that.
 
You know the U1B1000000 girls have been all up and through Ori...Some on their second and third orders.. :lachen:
I placed an order today. Emailed customer service about adding something and no response as of yet.
 
I wonder how good this product works on transitioning hair. I am thinking on trying the shampoo and leave in conditioner. I need more reviews on this first. I hope it works good on my hair.
 
so far none of my ori products are gritty. i only have the mango styler and the styling buttercreme. i love the mango so much. it has amazing slip for a styler and makes my twists so moisturized and soft. the buttercreme is good but has zero slip. and the smell bothers me just a tiny bit. i like both products though and got my products in about 3 days so i know i will make another purchase.
 
I wonder how this compares to Afroveda. I know the shipping is a lot faster and their regular prices seem OK. Just wondering.:giggle:

It's a nice product line. But, I would not compare them to AV.:nono:

They seem, to me, like they are just 'starting out' and don't have too many product offerings.:ohwell:

All in all though, IMO, for the Price-Points they are offering, the quality of their bottle/jars etc....and the expedient ship time. They are A-OK with me. *2 Thumbs Up*:grin:

Now.....If/when they raise their prices, I'm not sure how "Loyal" I'll be (I'll have to try out the rest of the stuff I got first).

But at the price they are now, I think it's a very nice line.:yep:

I think Empressi would really voice her opinion if they were not.:yep:

From watching her reviews from time to time, she doesn't pull any punches and seems to be straight forward about stuff she reviews.:yep:

I'm not 'familiar' with the Youtube Lady who is posted on this thread but I think she did a decent job as well.

I ordered the moisturizing buttercream, restorative masque and curl nourishing daily deep conditioner during the sale. The DC and buttercream performed well on my c-napp hair. I used the DC as is and did not add anything to it (I steamed for 20 minutes). My hair was soft and nourished after rinsing it out. I used the moisturizing buttercream and shescentit.com's macadamia fixing gel for a twistout. My hair came out defined and moisturized.

Haven't used the restorative masque, yet. I also placed a 2nd order for the styling buttercream, mango curler curl cream and another moisturizing buttercream and restorative masque. I like the sale prices and shipping schedule. I placed my order on a Wednesday and received my products that Saturday.

I, also, love the consistency of the products. Although we're still having 100 degree heat index days here in Florida, if my products did melt, they had a buttery (cake batter) consistency when I opened and used them. There was no lumps and I did not need to put them in the fridge. I don't have as keen a sense of smell as others do. But the products smelled like cake batter to me. Not offensive at all! LOL!

Would I purchase again? I already have.

i like coilskinkscurls. i wish she would make videos as often as she used to.

i havent tried enough of ori's products to compare them to afroveda but since i love butters so much, so far av would win.

I wouldn't compare them to AV.:perplexed

They don't have the offerings of a AV, HV, SSI, MHC etc.....but in their own right, for what they do offer, at the price they're offering them, I think they are a Good Line and are holding their own.

Decent Products. Great Ingredients. And FAST SHIPPING.

I'd compare them more to a Mozeke or something.:look: Good Product. Decent Price. Fast Shipping.
 
Ori Organics have great products! The Hydrating Curl cleanser, Curl Restorative masque, and Curl Replenishing Hair Milk has made my hair really moisturized. A shock for me was the curl definition I saw. I can't wait until I'm fully natural to experience the full potential of these products.
 
Hey Ladies.

So I hate to rain on O.O. parade but they are on my DO NOT BUY LIST.

I ordered to products on 9/5 and they were "delivered" 9/9. However I never received any product. Unfortunately I went out of town and didn't have a chance to look further into this situation until last week. When I emailed them about my missing shipment they have given me the run around and simply have said well sorry its lost but that's your problem. I sent them another email today asking for my product or a refund. I am hoping they will do the right thing.

If anyone would like more details please PM me.

My Last Order, a Good Amount of my Conditioner was missing from the bottle. Now keep in mind, I have placed numerous orders with them during their Sale.:look: Numerous.

So, I e-mail "Customer Service" and explained the situation and they told me it probably 'settled' during shipment and they would send me a 2 ounce replacement. *which by the way, I still have not received*:ohwell:

I think they should have in "good faith" went ahead and replaced the product with another bottle.:rolleyes:

They are now on my personal NO-BUY List as well. For being a vendor that does nothing to try to rectify customer complaints. :nono:

A 2 ounce bottle and I've spent a small fortune with you over the past few weeks. Totally Unacceptable.:nono: Especially from someone trying to build up their Client Base.:nono:

I was just thinking about buying a couple of things. But I don't care how good a product is. If the customer service sucks you will definitely not be getting my service. Thanks for the warning ladies.
 
Ladies I just wanted to inform you that I had to file a Paypal dispute with Ori Organics.

They haven't responded to my emails since Tuesday. I asked them to resend new product or refund my money. They have remained silent. I don't know if they think I'm trying to get over on them but the silent treatment is not the way to handle business.

For those who like the products I give you my experience as warning. I pray this wouldn't happen to you as well.
 
Has their customer service improved? I wish to try a few things after receiving one of their products from a swap, however alot of the things I placed in my cart they where out of I guess...sigh..

I don't know if I would risk it. Like I said earlier in this thread I love their products but CS is just as important as the product itself. If I have to file a PP dispute with someone or they get snarky with me the way they did with IDareT'sHair, I'll be too through with them. I don't like drama so I know I won't purchase from them again.

There are too many vendors out there who do right and are better than them.
 
I placed an order for the buttercream months ago(see my previous post) and I ended up filing a dispute with paypal after numerous unanswered emails. They sent me the wrong products and wouldn't send the correct products until I returned the ones I received(I sent them back because I didn't order it).

Oh the credited me for shipping.:rolleyes: When I finally received what I ordered it wasn't that great, lesson learned(not jumping on anymore bandwagons :lol:) I'm done with them, order at your own risk!
 
WOW, I didn't have a problem with my order.:perplexed The CS does sound suspect, so I guess I'll be looking for a good natural shampoo and conditioner, elsewhere.:nono:
 
Thanks for sharing your experience ladies. It is nice to be able to warn people about terrible customer service. I hope you get your money back.
 
It's a good thing I found this thread. I was looking into trying their products. I'll stick to buying from other hair companies.
