1) Let my stylist cut off 4 inches of my just below shoulder-length hair because it was "dead ends" in 2000. I was now sporting a short bob that I had not requested. Took me 2.5 years to grow back.
2) Get excited that my cut hair had finally grown back and start letting my 13 year old neice relax my whole head bone straight every 4 weeks (this was for half of 2003)
3) Recover from all the over-relaxing and decide in 2004 summer, once my hair is back healthy, that it's strong enough for permanent bronzey-gold highlights....dried my hurr like tumbleweed and helped it steadily break up to base of neck length.
4) Join LHCF, get excited, make some progress with stretching and bunning and get a sew-in weave in spring of 2005 that caused MAJOR scalp irritation from too tight braids and MASSIVE shedding (it was like my hair follicles just gave up and died from the strain). It took about 5 weeks to stop my scalp from itching terribly.
