Only 11 Weeks Post & Ready To Throw In The Towel...Pics

I agree with the other posters, your hair looks good to me. I would also use a scarf to lay down the edges. Or you could have your bang out with a decorative scarf over the part and a braid out high ponytail or banana clip. I think you can hold out but do whatever your hair is telling you to do!

Thanks....I'm shopping now for some of the thin tie scarfs now...See if that helps

The reason you might feel you hair is not agreeing with you is due to the double processing. When you are double processed it changes your hair texture dramatically. You really should try to stretch atleast for 4 months because of the color and relaxer. You can try flexi rods, cursos steam rollers, and co-wash your hair with moisture based products more often. Also try not to worry about your NG as much as possible, this is very important while stretching.

You know what....You are so right....My texture is very different...I have been trying to figure out why my new growth won't do what I can usually get it to do ....

I'm not worried about breakage or shedding...I have the stretching part of it down...I just really need to find styles to blend this new growth with out using heat over and over again...

Other than the styling issues Im having ....My stretch is going great !!

Your hair actually looks good.I found this product That works wonders on 2texture hair. The products name is: Kiny,Wavy Easy Herbal Comb Out

Its a light weight conditioner that helps smooth and detangle my hair. It also keeps my edges smooth.

You can find this product at www.naturalhair.org

P.S. I am a relaxed head and this product works well on my relaxed tresses.

I know...some stretches get tough early in the game. If you are 11 weeks I would tough it out for a couple more then go ahead with the touch up at 13. The style looks great though

Your hair is so gorgeous. I'm just mad that you think it's not.:lachen: Can you roller set and wear your hair curly? Maybe that will help your hair blues.

Your hair is beautiful. You can make it. Just try tying a scarf around your edges like some of the others suggested.

Traycee, I am really loving this new color!! It looks so nice!! Your bantu knot out looks great too.
Everyone has offered great tips already, I'm sorry your NG is more unruly than you would like. It looks fine in the pictures honestly, but maybe we can't see as well.

Maybe a braidout with small braids and a headband would help blend the textures a little better than the big waves of the bantu knot out.

I think it looks really good! I'm currently doing 4 month stretches as part of my regimen and am currently at 8 weks post. My hair has a lot of new growth already and I noticed that Curl Activator Gel works really really well to help lay down my edges. And if things get really crazy I may do a cute headband to help. But 9 times outta 10 I can get the curl activator to do it's thing and get everything to stay slick.

Everyday seems to be a bad hair day....I can't take the edges and nape...Blowing out my roots are not a option b/c of the gym ....Look at the kitchen ...The more gel or products I apply to it the more it draws up....Love my texture..But I need to do one look or the other...The 2 textures looks bad with me being in front of the camera and working behind the scences on different sets....Buns or out of the question and braids outs don't come out right this far into my stretch...

I really wanted to stretch for at least 4 months ..B/c I'm double process now...But I'm ready to throw in the towel and relax by the new year when I return back to work....

Suggestions , ideas ...Anything you can give to make this stretch last longer would help.....

Here are pics of a Bantu knot I'm wearing today and my edges and kitchen are a mess

why don't you put your hair in a ponytail, then take a hair scarf and wrap it around your edges. That should make it laydown. Just go to sleep with it on, and keep it on in the shower. I'm natural, but I Really think you should wait, 4 months to have another relaxer.

Your hair looks great t me, but I concur with what others are saying, try using the scarf method and some shea butter to smoothe out ur edges and nape.

Lovely hair. You must be so proud! I guess the whole two textures thing goes with the territory of stretching relaxers. It'll be worth it at the end of the stretch, but I know I'm not telling you anything new ;)

I have nothing to add except that you and your hair are lovely!!! If you are not experiencing breakage and can stretch longer, I hope that you can do so because you mentioned being double processed.

Beautiful hair, ladybug!!!

I know what you mean about the new growth just not acting right, or normal, during a particular stretch. This happened to me recently, and I just went ahead and texlaxed. I really couldn't take it anymore. It was to the point where I couldn't get the edges to lay down, and it was laughing at all my aloe vera, butter, and heat attempts. It would look alright, and curl right back up in like 5 min. I'm almost APL and I just couldn't bear the thought of a set-back right now.

So, I guess I'm just commiserating at this point, cuz you obviously know your hair. :yep: If this time feels different to you, I'm with the other poster: take it one (wash) day at a time, and see how you feel at 13 wks.

Girl, bye! Ain't nothing wrong with your edges... Like everyone said, just use some EQP mango butter or shea butter and tie with a scarf if they bother you, but honestly they don't look bad.

Your hair is beautiful! If you feel you can't deal with the new growth, why not relax it now?

Hahahaha...I swear I could hear you say girl bye...:lachen:But seriously I tried the Mango Butter its not helping...I do have some Shea butter maybe that will work better....

thank God for weaves because I went all the way to 13 and the 13th week was the worst because I took my weave out the 12th week and did my treatments snd stuff and had to wear it for a whole week looking a hot mess with all the kitchen out it was not cute and my hubby had a new joke everyday.
