AH! I just realized today is the day I stopped getting relaxers. I have been natural for a full year and am currently 6 months post after transitioning for 4 months and doing 2 BC's.
I know you guys like pictures and I don't have one from too recently but here are a few photos from my HHJ.
The first pic is right after my relaxer on Dec 17th, 2012.
The 2nd picture is in April right after my first BC. I didn't cut enough off and had to do another BC in late June.
The third picture is about 3 weeks after the 2nd BC where she cut my hair down to about 1 inch all over.
(I don't have a picture of my hair right after the BC cause I was too embarrassed
)
The 4th is my hair in November after a wash.
The 5th is my hair as of three days ago (I finally got my crown figured out)!!!
So far I my hair is 5- 5 1/2 inches stretched all over and about 3 1/2 inches on the hairline because I did a major trim this past week in that area so I have grown about 4 inches in 6 months which is pretty darn good. I am really happy with my progress and can not wait for my 1 year BC date.
