A work in progress
I've been doing more of these during the summer since I'm avoiding heat-join the Summer no Heat challenge btw. :look:
usually i use a moisturizer and my foam wrap for hold and moisture.
right now, I'm feeling really lazy, and I want one product that can do both.
i wanna just cowash, apply my one product, twist it or braid it up and gwan a mi bed.
any suggestions?
I've heard the ORS smooth and hold pudding may be what i'm looking for. has anyone tried that?

idk if you're looking for bss products...or from vendors. I don't use bss store products so all i use are products from online vendors

Donna Marie Super Buttercream
Kyra Indulgence mango moisturizing cream
Curl Junkie honey butta

these are the main products i use for braidouts during the summer. It got me thru the last heat wave my city had last week

those sound really nice, but yea i like getting stuff from brick and mortar stores. mostly sally's or target.
i'm just too impatient to wait for things, lol.

I'm relaxed, so this may not be a spot on option for you....

But I really like how my hair shines, is soft, and still moves when I use Jane Carter's Nourish & Shine for my "out" styles. I curl my ends with rollers, and they have a tendency to get tangly UNLESS I use the Nourish & Shine (butter) on them when styling and molding.

It's costly, but a little goes a long way.

Found it at Target

I used shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie for braid outs on my relaxed hair and now for twist outs on my natural

Yeah, I'm using this as a substitute for my QB BRBC. Either one works for me. I've never had to use a "hold" product for my hair. It usually just stays.
:yep:

When I did braid-outs on my relaxed hair, I used Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Restorative Conditioner alone. Gave me great braidouts...silky, smooth. Until I discovered Shea Moisture's Curl & Style Milk. This gave me braidouts that were a tad bit "coilier".

Now, that I'm transitioning, I use the Style Milk cause it seems to enhance curl better than the Conditioner, though that works, too. Have never used the Shea Moisture Smoothie, have to try that one day.

What I like about the Shea Moisture products is that once the products dry, you have NO RESIDUE on your hair. You can't feel product on your hair! I hate crunchy, hard hair.

The other day I picked up Motions Define My Curls at Wal-Mart for about $6 and I really like it. It doesn't leave my hair crispy and it feels real soft. I use to use ORS Lock & Twist Gel, but I'm going to get Motions again when this jar runs out.

Carol daughter's hair butter is great for braid out and twist outs. My hair isn't hard or crunchy after using it

Hands down I have looked for year for something that would keep it moisturizer and sexy....
Entwine couture has worked wonders for my 4b hair and my 3b nape. I get 4 day hair with sloppy retesting or perfect retwisting. I can't go wrong with it
