Should protein and moisturizing conditioners be applied to the hair separately? Can they be applied together? Are the benefits greater/lesser by combining the two?
SG - I saw that you mentioned the Omnipak in your regimen, but I thought it was your own creative genius
. (We have some very savvy hair chemists at the LHCF!!)
Yesterday after shampooing, I used Motions CPR for 10 mins., rinsed and then applied Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner for 15 mins. (received a sample of the Kenra and decided to give it a try - I know you have recommended it on various posts).
Thinking about it today, I was wondering if I could save a step. I might try this next time.
I have been mixing my protein and moisturizing steps for a long time now. Simply out of exhaustion. I did not have the time to do a moisturizing conditioner and a protein. I think I need to try this with K-pak.
Just updating - I finally tried Hi-Pro-Pac (thanks Tracy and NYCITY) and L'oreal Nature's Therapy Mega Moisture Nurturing Creme together. The results were good, so I will keep the protein and moisture combination in my routine.
I've combined the processes when I felt that I didn't need TOO much protein, but wanted a little...just the other day even, I used my TIGI Bed Head Moisture Maniac conditioner with my GPB.
I have been thinking about this one. I haven't tried GPB yet, but I wanna give myself a protein treatment and follow it up by a moisturizing treatment. I was thinking about letting the GPB sit on my hair for a while, and then adding the moisturinzing treatment on top ---- eh, I guess I will just do two seperate steps so I can feel like I at least tried my best, :lol
