Oil question

Just wondering why oil is moisturizing if it's in conditioner, but if it's applied to dry hair it isn't moisturizing.

Don't get me wrong- oil is still very beneficial applied to the hair it isn't (maybe it's just me) moisturizing.

For example, you can use oil to seal in moisture, but on its own does it really keep the hair from drying?

Then on the other hand, we always mention how moisturizing olive oil, for example, is a great moisturizer when added to conditioners.

Is it the type of oil, is it the emulsification process?
Any thoughts?

Oil isn't a moisturizer it is a sealer. I use it after I have applied all of my moisturizers.

Yeah, what she said.

So, what do you use to moisturise then? if you don't mind me asking.

Hi Kera,
If you were asking me, I use a homeade moisture mix of distilled water, leave in conditioner and rose or lavender water. What about you?
Take care,
G

I use ORS Carrot Oil to moisturize, and oils to seal it.
