Has anyone ever tried this? I've never seen it mentioned on the board. I saw some reviews from AA women and mixed, but none specifically mentioned if they over lapped previously relaxed hair and what the touchup schedule was like. It looks like this:

I got the picture from Folica.com

It tore my hair up.
You cannot use it over a relaxer, it has ammonia thioglycate or something like that, which is a direct incompatibility with hydroxides.Your hair will dry out and break off.

I used it for several months and it seemed nice at first, but my hair dried out and it broke off. It thinned it out, but did nothing else. It especially did not remove frizz or curl.

My best friend who is Italian and Dominican and has 3b/3c type hair used it and it did completely NOTHING for her as well!

Avoid it like the plague!

That's what they call a thio and If I'm not mistaken that's what's in the Japanese Straightening System which should not be used on our hair.

Thanks for the info - I was just curious b/c I'd never heard of it before.

You are both right! Actually, that's the same active ingredient in jheri curl and curly perms (wave noveau and mizani silkening system--both are used on our hair)!
