Well, firstly I would like to say Happy New Year to everybody,I hope 2006 brings you all every thing you desire.
Guess what? I'm no longer "picky" headed.Lol,
Truthfully i did not know how to take care of my hair until i found this board, i THOUGHT I was doomed and the black sheep of my family with the dry head...
I've been visting this board 7-8 weeks and I'm pleased to say my hair has taken a turn for the better. Before LHCF my hair was thick, tangly, fine, dry, horrible, unhealthy now? it is 100%natural, thick, smooth, silky and does not shed at all.It has grown atleast 1-1.5inches(dont do the correct measurement thing)
My hair grew but kept breaking off, especially the back-it was like completely bald, now i can glide my fingers through a nice TWA at the back!Lol, my husband has been complementing me a lot. family and friends too...most people dont know i've been on these boards except close family and my husband.
I still currently have braids in but i take half the head of braids down and re-new them because the growth is coming in fast.
What have i been doing?
Surging for the last 5/6 weeks (i'm terrible at dates-dont keep track)
MTG'ing my scalp (and sometimes most of the braids)for 3/4 weeks
Washing and conditioning once a week with Mane N tail shampoo and conditioner
moisturising with Shea Butter, Surge ultra max and Woojee cream.
I've actually made my own spray that I spray each night before putting on my silk scarf...(wow i sound like an official member!)lol
CeeKay's Spray: (NO measurements)
Glycerine
MTG
Surge hair revatilser
Surge Woojee Cream
Rosemary oil
peppermint oil
olive oil
water (how much can fit in the spray bottle after my mix)
my hair and braids feel so smooth when i take the silk wrap off in the morning.
I am following a high protein diet
I drink 1-2 litres of water a day
Each morning and night I thank the lord, If it wasn't for him I wouldn't of acheived anything....
And of course the wonderful, clever, educated, inspirational, beautiful sisters of Long Hair Care Forum.
I can't thank you ALL enough But:
Ekomba, you put me on the MTG wagon after seeing your progress
Den1, you're an inspiration too.....
Truthfully everybody on this site inspires me and I really think more people have got to "find" LHCF.
I've also been reading a book called "When beauty touches me" I've had this book for 12/13 years but come across it when i was moving home. most of the things you ladies say on this board the author says in her book...erplexed
i Dont know why i bought the book put my name in it signed the Year(1993)and never read it!!!!!
Well, everything happens for a reason.... and i'm here now...theres no stopping me and my hair growth.
Thank you ALL so much, i love reading every informative topic on this board....
I Better stop going on and on....
Thank you for reading my post (if you got this far!)lol
