I've been wanting to ask why you didn't color over the red instead of cutting it? Was it damaged?

Hey there! I've been on my phone so I wasn't able to see mentions. Thanks guys! The reason I cut the colour off instead of just colouring over it is because it was bleached then coloured and it was only when I got quite a bit of new growth that realised how dry the coloured hair was and I didn't like the feel of it. And I'm also quite scissor happy so I just ended up chopping it off.
