Several years ago, a random stranger (black guy) asked if my hair was real and when I told him that it was he refused to believe me, since he had never seen a brown skinned girl with long hair before. According to him, only light skinned girls can have long hair.
Normally, people believe that my hair is real, but they automatically ask me what I am mixed with.
One of my friends from childhood, who is biracial, has had a twa since she was a child and it is not on purpose.
