Last night I decided to do my cowash. It was pretty late, but I said what the heck. I washed it, applied Anti-Snap and then used castor oil to seal my ends. Then I wrapped it and put my scarf on. So I ended up going to bed with wet hair wrapped(I dont do it often) and when I woke up this morning, my hair was as hard as concrete:cry:

I'm going to assume that it was from the anti-snap! I've done this same routine before, but at that time, I let it air dry partially, blow dry and then flat iron and it was beautiful.

Completely off topic, but i've decided to attach a pic of my braid out. it will look so much better once I get some length..

excuse me, it was actually GVP version, but yes. As I said, I didn't think it would be a problem because I've done it before and blow dried, flat ironed.

I'm no expert, but NEVER sleep in Anti-snap. It is a hardcore protein. If you want to leave a conditioner in overnight, go for something more moisturizing. A good cheap one would be V05 Moisture Milk. My hair is so soft and moisturized after rinsing this out in the morning. To correct the problem, I would deep condition with a moisturizing conditioner ASAP.

Thank you ladies. I guess this is a learning process. I wasn't necessarily looking for a conditioner to sleep in per se. I was just going to wash wrap and take care of the flat ironing part in the morning.

I'm still new to this journey, so there is a lot that i'm trying to work out. I just decided in March(when my cousin Sammy214 introduced me to this site) to let my hair grow out and not cut it anymore.
