How do I use it? The instructions says once a week. Is this accurate?

I'm not getting my hair retouched either before I begin using it. It's only been 2 months and since I do my hair at home, I can last up to 4 months.

I've been thinking of tryignt the MTG, does it really work that well? What kind of growth can I expect? I am just a little worried since it's intended for horses.

I received mine this past Monday, did a 24 hour patch test just in case I was allergic to it, then applied it to my scalp the next day. I plan on using it 2 times a week, its not recommended that you use it everyday.

Thanks, guys... I was thinking of using it every other day or twice a week!

I'll keep you apprised :)

I can't wait! I'll be the new "Allandra"! LOL!

She's the only one I know of who has waist-length hair :)

Blosssom, be sure to get a bottle with a nozzle tip on it. This way you can concentrate the pouring onto the scalp and avoid a huge mess. What I do is add 3/4 MTG to a bottle and then fill it the rest of the way up with castor oil. I also add peppermint, rosemary and lemongrass essential oils to help mask the smell. HHG :)

Thanks for the tips, Army. I was planning to mix a little with my jojoba oil and see how it goes :)

I hope this stuff works. I feel like I'm going into stress mode again about my hair.

I will be using it 1x per week on wet/damp hair.

I just can't stand the smell.. It drove me crazy the first time I used it.

I put a satin bonnet and silk scarf on.

I will mix somethings with it and get a nossle squeeze bottle which is a great idea.

That's why I put MTG on my hair and not scalp. If u put it on yr scalp, the smell is too strong when using it....that's why some have discarded MTG. They say the smell lingers after shampooing. The use of Surge and mango butter have cut the smell of MTG for me. I hope this info helps.

Yes, I was thinking about the nozzle bottle Army mentioned, and I wasn't quite sure what it was.

Is that the bottle you use to color your hair? It has the long pointy tip on it?

I've been using spray bottles to distribute my oils, but the nozzle is a much better idea.

I'm a big waster by nature and the nozzle bottle should eliminate some of it.

NaturalChallenge, I used to use Surge but when I changed my hair regimen, I couldn't use Surge the way it's recommended. I used to condition wash every day and now I wash every week.

You're welcome Blosssom. And yes the tip bottle that you use to color is the one I'm talking about. Trust me, with MTG, less is definitely more. You'll be wlaking around looking like an oil slick, with MTG juice running down your neck  Oh, and BIG FYI. Do not wear any silver jewelry with fresh MTG on your neck. It will tarnish it. It destroyed my Tiffany necklace along with a bunch of other ladies here.

Thanks for everyone's help. I just put some on the ends of my hair. I think it grew. Heehee! :)

Blosssom, you are too much! It's not going to do you any good on the ends since your hair grows from the roots. lol. So now you're all stinky for nothing

I used this also. I sprayed Surge after MTG on each section theN Mango butter on my hair and any other oil I had under my sink...I will stick with 1 day a week for now.

I apply mine every other day, but I've seen in a few post that the relaxer don't quite take after they started using MTG, so since it's about 1wk and 1/2 before relaxer time I decided to stop the MTGing 2 wks before my relaxer date and use clarifying poo before my normal poo and DC, so that I may remove any build up from the MTG, just to let you know if you weren't already informed, I'll let ya know how my relaxer takes on the 17th. HTH.

my MTG hasn't arrived yet but after reading some of the posts I am going to sally's/bss and purchase an applicator bottle and an oil to help mask the smell. thanks ladies

this has probably been asked already but how often do you ladies shampoo your hair? would it be okay to wash my hair every 3-4 days and apply the MTG after every wash to dry hair? I plan on doing protein treatments w/Motions CPR weekly and deep conditioning once a week.....does this sound like an okay regime?

thanks in advance ladies
