MTG Updates!

I have now stopped using MTG for a couple of months, no real reason just laziness .
But when I was using it (on and off for 4 weeks) I noticed that my sides were filling in nicely , I have a kind of big forehead so that's a gooood thing

So..how much has your hair grown and how often do you MTG?

i have been using it on and off for four months when i first got it i used it twice a week

at this time i had braids in ( i would never put mtg in when my hair is out, the braids kinda hold the smell better) but i did notice more growth
especially since it was in the winter and as most people know human hair grows better in warmer climate like the summer time

i gained maybe an extra inch of growth

soon as i get braids again i'll apply again but other than that my nose can't take the smell

I really don't know howmuch growth I have. But my Mom says that it has done wonders. I had bald spots all over the place.. I still have thin spots but not

I had grown an inch a month but I stopped due to laziness and I only used it twice a week by doing the baggie method, because I couldn't go outside smelling like bacon, so If I knew I would wash my hair the next morning I would apply it to my scalp and let it sit overnite with the baggie and wash it out the next morning and my hair grew like a weed.

I have started back on it since school is out and I have no where to go, Or I will let it sit on my scalp all day with a baggie tied with a scarf on it and run my errands and at night when I am done I will wash it out, and with the baggie no one smells anything!! LOL!!!

I've been using MTG since 05/27/06 and I love it. the bacon smell lingered the first few days b/c i hadnt quite gotten the masking of the smell down. But now the smell is completley gone. with the right amount of the following:
Evoo, coconut oil, rosemary oil, jojoba oil, eucaliptus oil, peppermint oil, castor oil, infusium 23 and African Royale Braid Spray (I currently wear braids) the smell is gone.
Plus, I only spray at night right before bed so I don't go out smelling like the tropics of Africa..lol it smells great but still really "jungley" and strong.. In the morning I slather on a small amnt of NTM silk touch on my new growth only and then seal it in with some jojoba oil. When you spray the MTG on it is going to tingle like crazy but I love it b/c its the peppermint oil and rosemary just helping my blood circulation through my scalp. I have no issues with this stuff getting on my neck or weird side effects like some others have expeirenced. My edges are filling in nicely and I have more newgrowth than I can handle.
My MTG concoction will forever be apart of my regimen. I have reached euphoria thanks to my LHCF sistas.

I have been using MTG since August of last year, and i STILL love it. The smell has never bothered me...... I try to use it about 4-5x a week, as that is when i get optimal growth. To use it any less, in essence, is wasting the bottle.

Not only has it made my (fine) hair noticeably thicker, but Ive definitely gotten faster growth from it..... I average about 3/4" a month, which is GREAT for me. Before that time i was averaging and retaining about 1/4" month.

I think the thickness is what I love the most about it, truthfully. With the careful way that I handle my hair, and the protein and moisture that i give it, its gonna grow regardless..... but the mtg has thickened it up in a way that may never have otherwised happened. I LOVE, love, love it ya'all.

castor oil 2 caps
jojoba 1 cap
coconut 3-4 TBSP.
rosemary oil-30-40 drops
eucaliptus oil 20-30 drops
peppermint: I added the whole ounce by accident..lol but about half an ounce should do it.
you should be able to find most if not all of these oils at Vitamin Shoppe online or in store evoo i just got @ walmart the castor oil: make sure it is cold pressed or pressed.

ReMEMBER TO ADD THE ENTIRE BOTTLE OF INFUSIUM 23 AND AFRICAN ROALE SO THAT YOU CAN DISTRIBUTE EQUAL PORTIONS FOR THE CARRIER OILS AND ESSENTIAL OILS USED B/C TOO MUCH OF THE EO'S WILL BE DISASTEROUS..LOL AND I USED AN ENTIRE BOTTLE OF MTG THE TRIAL SIZE.

You're welcome. I added some more info above in the red...lol sorry i forgot some stuff. I hope it works out for you. I usually put my concoction in a large spray bottle to evenly distribute on my braids and then scrunch it in. then I put on a scarf almost immediately afterward. good luck and God bless!

Remember to try it on wet hair too! Once you hair drys the smell is gone.
*plus I poured off a lot of the oil (when the sulphur and oil seperate) and then added olive oil--that may have something to do w/ it as well.*

what do you mean by spraying on MTG? Do you put the oil in a spray bottle? That might be smart. It takes a long time for me to get it on all of my scalp since I hae thick hair.

I will definately start soon again....It's just that I'm soooo lazy and I don't have any money to buy the "covering-up-the-smell" oils

Yea girl Just pour that sucker into a spray tip nozzle like this one..

and your good to go. Of course I add stuff to my MTG but putting just the raw ingredients in this bottle will work just as good. Just remember to rinse the nozzle off so that it won't clog with build-up.. HTH

I just recieved my bottle and I LOVE this stuff. It makes my new growth super manageable. I might be able to stretch my relaxer super long with this stuff. I haven't had it long enough to notice any growth but I will update in a few weeks.
