I need HELP YALL!! I need to find relaxer advertisements for my research paper and I cant find any. There is one in particular that Im looking for. It shows a before and after shot. The beofre is a woman with frizzy curls hair and the after shot is of bone straight hair. Im not being particular anythign will help. ALthough I do havbe about enough as I can take of Madama c.J. Walkers advertisments... Please help me :(

Girl, just get yourself an Essence magazine--- there's plenty of ads there:lachen: I think you are talking about Dr. Miracles with those before and after shots. Hair mags like Sophisticates are sure to have some too.

Sista Im at work and I cant get to any magazines :( Plus them magazines is expensive... Everytime I look on the internet they show me pics of the product rather than the advertisements.... :( Oh it IS Dr Miracle! I luv you Sis!

Check out Black Hair Magazine and other magazines aimed toward black women. Sounds like you are referring to that Dr. Miracle advertisement. It might be online somewhere.

Dr. Miracle always show these women with backcombed hair that they just probably threw some dirt onto and tangled up really bad. It is an exaggeration, of course (I hope). Then they show the woman with freshly done hair.

Good luck beyondcute!

Yeah I got the ones off the net on that website but those arent the one's that I was looking for :( OH well maybe an old hair magazine will have some but now I have to find those... Where can I get my hands on some ol dissues of hair magazines?

Check with your local public library. They usually have back issues of mags up to a year (for mags such as Essence/Ebony). After this they throw them away. They may have some you can have.

What is your research topic(specifically), girl! You got me curious.

The most recent issue of Essence with Denzel has the girl w/ frizzy curly hair and 2 others in the back. Good luck :)

You girls are DOLLS! I love yall for this one! Macheriamor I cant seem to find this before and after shot... do you know under shich heading or link its under?

THAT ADVERT IS REALLL SILLY! they have this girl with goregeous 3b/c natural hair with the heading "ERGH" or something like that, and the next picture (supposedly relaxed) is OBVIOUSELY HER WITH HER HAIR BLOWDRIED and pressed...lmao..her natural hair was so beautiful i dnt understand the "ergh" at all.

I see ads for relaxers on ebay under hair relaxers, but u can check other areas such as collectables. Not that u need to buy them, but since its for school u could cut and paste pics of the ads and print them out or put them into ur power point presentation or what ever...
good luck
