So anyway I'm a proud Maxiglide users and I have a flat iron by Vidal Sasson that AWESOME Anyway.................

I plug up this CHI iron this morning and True That..........it heats up fast. So I begin to flat iron with this "pink too" and to my amazement nothing different. I didn't see any difference NONE!

Is it something im doing wrong? Did I waste $40 plus $15 on this "pink tool" LOL

Please help a sista out

Alot of the end results are do to technique. You're brave though, because buying a Chi from eBay could be a gamble - real or fake.

I don't know about a "pink tool" Chi... I bought my Chi from a BSS a like 2 years ago for $125. It heats up fast, smooths hair out perfectly and leaves a good sheen. It doesn't take long to cool down after usage either. It was money well spent IMO. Unfortunately, I can't compare to a Maxiglide, Sedu, etc. because I never used them. For all I know, they probably all work just the same. They're probably all good, just under different brand names.

O LAWD.................I'm so fired up!! :ohwell:
I'm curious to know how an authentic CHI looks.... I think this is a knock off based on the REAL CHI pics...

Thanks:wallbash:

It's dark gray and where the plates are (on the top and bottom), it's red velvety like material. That's not to say that your pink Chi is not real, it could be a more up to date model, I haven't been in the market for a new flat iron, so I haven't paid attention.

ETA:: The outcome of your hair does depend on your technique using the CHI.

http://www.chiretail.com/tools/ I'd suggest going to their website and looking at the various models. They all look quite different.

Side note: Mine lasted less than a year using it approximately once a month on SL thin hair.

My daughter who has WL thick hair swears by the Sedu.

I have the one in the middle on the second to the last pic on the bottom of the Chi page, the Turbo Flat Iron.

Oh how I loved my CHI! My hair was always lookin good, even after stretching. My hair got rained on, and no lie, it was still fly. BUT it was too much heat. The back of my hair grew out nicely but the front is more prone to breakage so the high heat was not the best. I now use a temp control flat iron.

I keep seeing people saying that there's no heat control. Which one did you have? I have temp control on my Chi

Thanks Ladies,
But y'all know what???? On ebay it read "
CHI INFUSION +PK TUHI CERAMIC HAIR IRON STRAIGHTENER

" I got played and just f***** realized this lil pink toy ain't a CHI!!

Guess I had on my sucka suit or just got to excited and didn't read.

I bought it 2 years ago before finding this site. It did not have temp control. The flat iron I use now is cheaper but funny thing is, with my new iron, my hair is less dry than when rollersetting or using the no temp CHI! Its my happy medium.

Darn... I'm sorry to hear that. It could have been worse, you could've paid $100 instead of $40.:yep: Does it work properly? If not, get a refund. Did you have insurance on the package? The seller is responsible for what they sell.
