Salaam All
I am a new member me my sisters and mom have been lurking for a while gathering useful information and inspiration from the LHCF ladies. I cut out all of my permed hair about 5 months ago ( it was below shoulder length in back and bald head scald head in middle (lol) dont know what happened ..... but I cut it all off and I am back natural again aiming for bra strap. currently the front only reaches the bottom of my eye brow

OK Here is what I pray will work for me in 2006
BEFORE BABY COMES
wash weekly with Optimum Oil therapy shampoo until bottle runs out then find another moisture rich wash.
deep condition weekly week1 with hair mayo week2/ olive deep conditioner by hollywood beauty adding some virgin olive oil to it letting set for 1/2 hr or more

use WGO every other day andafter washing

since I wear a Khimar spray hair with care free curl (Istant Moisturizer w/ Glycerine) before putting on my khimar to prevent drying

apply olive creme by hollywood beauty daily to ends and shaft at night (love this stuff on my natural hair)

sleep with satin pillow case (sleeping w/o one is what i think tore out all my gorgeous hair before)
take my pre nat's every day (due in March God willing)
dRINK as much water as possible

AFTER BABY

Same regemin but I will be adding MTG AND SURGE TO MY WGO.
AND START TAKING MSM AND ultranurishhair vits by GNC

I plan on staying in braids most of the year and when I'm not in braids just do the usual. Wash and deep condition once a week, co washes in between, light protein once a week, heavy protein every 6 weeks.

Weekly
~Wash with Nexxus Therapee, light protein treatment with Keraphix, deep condition with Humectress
~Apply Headress as a leave in
~Apply MTG...which I will apply every other day
~Moisturize with a mix of water, scurl, and shea butter oil or mango butter
~Roller set
~Flat Iron roots if need be

Monthly
~Apply Nexxus Emergencee
~Clarify with Aloe Rid
~Get a Blow Out

Every three months relax either with Mizani or Affirm(have not decided yet)

So many great regimens! I am going for shoulder length by the summer (currently at chin length). I find that when I eat better and take vitamins my hair is soooo much more healthier and it grows much faster.

Hair Regimen
Wash twice a week (One conditioner, One shampoo)
Protein once a month (Nioxin Hair Masque something or another)
Moisture every wash (Nioxin Moisture and Strength, Neutrogena Triple Moisture, or Humectress)
Hair Oil - Nexxus Botanic Oil
I use heat (ceramics) and an ion dryer :)
Relaxer every 10 weeks
Sleep with a humidifier

Vitamins
Multivitamin
Biotin
Flaxseed Oil (either in the capsule or liquid in protein shakes)

Diet
Increase protein consumption
More leafy green vegetables
Protein shakes daily

Ok, I am going to start by getting braids (adding hair) in January and try my best to keep them in longer than a month, the only problem is, I often have withdrawls becuz i miss my hair so much....I guess the gist of it will be protective styling the whole year, except for one week when i will be going to a conference in May, so it will be pressed then...but then I will be back in pro styles....i want some growth!

while in braids:
Spraying everyday (something, whether water, cond., surge, mtg, whatever to the scalp as to keep it moisturized) and rosemary oil to the actual braids

Not quite sure how much im going to wash...at least once a week

and im going to try and drink more water (im way behind)

When not in braids, either two strand twists, or the bun!

HAPPY HAIR GROWING!

I am going to wash and deep condition my hair once a week. Supplementing with a protein conditioner as needed. I will moisturize my ends nightly and use a satin scarf/pillowcase. I will only trim as needed. I will wear protective styles and will limit my flat ironing to once a week and only on clean hair. I will be taking a multivitamin, calcium, and one other vitamin of my choice. I will use the products that I have and will not buy any others until they are all gone.

I will keep it simple.

Ok ladies, last night I ordered the Elucence Moisture Balance Shampoo and Conditioner, as well as the Elucence Clarifying Shampoo. While I have not received the items yet, I'm going to put them in my regimen from inception forward (if I dont like the results of the Elucence Moisture Balance, my backup will be Nexxus Therappe and Nexxus Humectress as I already have the litre bottles of each but I figured I'd try something new).

I will wash my hair every week and my regimen is as follows:

1st wash of the month:
Clarify with Elucence Clarifying Shampoo
Motions CPR conditioner (light/medium protein treatment)
Elucence Moisture Balance Conditioner (deep condition for 30 mins)

Other Weeks:

Elucence Moisture Balance Shampoo
Elucence Moisture Balance Conditioner (deep condition for 30 mins)

I'm not sure how often I will relax because I'm currently at week 12 post-relaxer and I'm loving my new growth. It's really wavy as opposed to unruly. Maybe I'll stretch for 6 months like Slyver to attain her kind of growth :ohwell:

My other products will be:
NTM Silk Touch Leave In
Mega Care Olive Oil
Fantasia IC serum

I will also try to rollerset my hair more often rather than blowdrying, but we shall see what happens.

Starting Feb, I'm going to try and log my progress in my Fotki album, hopefully I'll have a good digital camera by then to do so. If not February, then definately by March I'll start logging my progress.
