I'm still thinking about mine , but let's see how long this thread can get.

Also, there is no reason why we can't start early...

I plan on doing the C&G method using both weaves and braids. When I'm in

BRAIDS
Wash once a week with diluted shampoo
and following AJD's tips for braid success
Use MTG on my scalp 3X a week
Spray the shaft of the braids with a mixture of Sta-Sof-Fro, MTG and essential oils

WEAVES
Wash 1X a week with diluted shampoo
and follow Reniece's tips on taking care of weaves
try to use MTG on scalp and also use a strenghtening spray on scalp and hair under weave.

When out of Braids or Weaves

I will continue to use MTG on my scalp like 2-3 times a week. I will continue to do a variety of protective styles like twistouts/braidouts, buns, cornrows etc...and I will be experimenting with new styles, as always keeping heat to a minimum, oiling the last 3 inches of my ends, wash in sections etc...

About PJism

I really am going to try to cut down on this! I want to be using only 3-4 different product lines, not 10-15! I'm also striving towards using more natural products like Elucence, Jason's Naturals, Aubrey's Organics etc. But I'm going to try to keep it really simple. The products on my dream list are the following: BBD Triple Slip Poo, Glass, & Stretch and his other products as well! I've already ordered the Elucence...I will post results as soon as I get them!

Vitamins
I will be really simple with this and use Andrew Lessman's hair, skin& nails along with Silica, Fish oil (Omega 3s&6) and Primrose oils.

Appliances

I would love to get a hair steamer
I need a dome dryer--a top of the line model
I also will be getting a maxiglide...so that I can measure my length.

Hehe.. I HAVE been waiting for this... i was actually thinking about it earlier today, on my way home. So far, I have a TENTATIVE regimen... I'm trying to come up with a regimen that has a good amount of protein and an great amount of moisture b/c that's what my hair is needing. I'm on the lookout for a shampoo with little to no harsh chemicals in it...

so here goes... remember it's tentative... oh i'm also thinking that I should go back to what worked in the past, but who knows.... :look:

Weekly:

-Pre-shampoo with coconut milk or hot oil treatment when hair feels dry
-Shampoo with Moisturizing shampoo (Rusk Moist) and Lanza Protein Plus
-Protein conditioner with Motions CPR
-Deep condition with Queen Helene's Cholesterol or other deep conditioner with heat

- Spray hair with Infusium 23 (mixed with Rosemary EO and rosewater) SOMETIMES
- Put Rusk Smoother on hair and comb through

-Roller-set hair with Placenta
-Once dry, moisturize with Motions Oil Moisturizer

Bi-weekly:

-Co-wash with Daily Defense Tender Apple and/or Suave Humectant
-Oil hair with olive oil
-Smooth into a bun or airdry in braids

Daily:

-Moisturize hair, if needed with Motions oil moisturizer
-If ends feel dry, spritz with water and oil with Evoo
-Tie hair with scarf at night

Products: (i'm thinking i should stick to Rusk, the moist shampoo clarifies without stripping, hair feels CLEAN without the stickiness and I love that, BUT when it's close to touch-up time, I need something that is more moisturizing... so i dont know yet)

-Rusk Moist shampoo, Lanza Protein Plus, Rusk Conditioner, Rusk Smoother, Infusium 23, Placenta, Queen Helene's Cholesterol, Motions CPR, Motions oil moisturizer, EVOO, DDTA, Suave Humectant

Ha! I was just working on this!

Here's a skeleton of what I've planned so far (it's basically C & G):

January-February: Braids
March-April: Moisturized, protective styling
May-June: Braids
July-August: Moisturized, protective styling
September-October: Braids
November-December: Moisturized, protective styling

When in Braids: Spray scalp with chosen product (eg. Surge), moisturize length of hair w/ chosen product, wash hair at 4 week mark (which will probably lead to tightening of braids where applicable), but clean biweekly...somehow, followed by moisturizer.
When out of Braids:
Protein treatment immediately after, biweekly deep treatments, weekly washes/conditioning, daily moisturizing and ends protection, protective styles.

In addition:
-Back to Vitamins (Centrum Multi-vitamin, Seven Seas CLO w/EPO)
-Exercise (at least 3 times a week)

Winter Regimen

- Poo with Soft & Beautiful Botanicals
- Condition with Elucence
- Apply homemade butter mix
- Air Dry in a bun
- Cover nightly with satin bonnet

(( my normal regimen, lol ))

Since I’m going back to the perm in 1.5 weeks (from being Natural for 2 years), I’ve devised this regimen… what do you guys think?

Week 1 – Because I Love My Hair
- WASH (2n1 Shampoo N Conditioner – Pantene Pro V)
- PROTEIN TREATMENT (ApHogee Keratin Reconstructor- 15 min. under dryer)
- DEEP CONDITION (Doo Gro Intense Deep Con mixed with Hollywood’s Carrot Oil Cholesterol—Shea Butter on Ends—15 Minutes under dryer- may sleep in overnight)
- LEAVE-IN TREATMENT (Hask Placenta- Massage, let sit 3 minutes before proceeding)
- SET (never blow dry- always set. BB Foam Setting Lotion)

Week 2 – Day at the Salon
- Professionally relaxed, conditioned, and set. (Mizani relaxer—Trim only when necessary)

Week 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 (5 weeks) – Tender, Love, and Care
- WASH, DEEP CONDITION, LEAVE-IN TREATMENT, SET as before.

Thus, relaxing my hair every 7 weeks and doing a hard protein treatment the week before.

VITAMIN REGIMEN: Olay’s Multivitamin and GNC Nourishair.

I’m a full time college student and work long part time hours, so simple is best for me.

What do all think? Eek...

I plan to follow Reneice's regimen for the next year. I really hope to be as successful as she was. So my regimen will be something like this

I shall be wearing weaves for six to eight weeks, wash and condition every week and half to two weeks,

spray my cornrows with African royale braids spray every two days or alternate with ORS Olive Oil Moisturizer or Carrot Oil Moisturizer. I am planning to use the carrot oil as part of my strengthen plan. I shall use a liquid type reconstructor once a month.

then take them down and do a deep conditioning treatment (wash, reconstructor, condiition) and put them back in for another six to eight weeks.

I shall relax twice in the year (every six months). Wear my hair for about six to eight weeks washing and deep conditioning weekly, then go back into weaves.

Still tweaking but so far this is it

Hot oil treatment before I wash
Wash once a week
Condition for 20-30 mintues
flat wrap and dry under the dyer- no blowdrying or curling irons

Moisturize daily

Visit salon every other week for wash and set, go more often when roots start to get to thick for me to handle. Relax when needed, no more stretching my hair can not take it

Vitamins- flaxseed oil, borage oil, Kal enhance energy multi, freeda 10mg biotin, freeda mild b complex, country life multi mineral, silica, keep up with the protien shakes as ususal
- still looking into msm and viviscal

EVERY 3 MONTHS
1)Go to Dominican salon for a rollerset (for a change and to see progress)
2)Get a small trim when at the salon

Wow...I guess it is that time. I have to think....I get my hair cut at Curve this weekend, so once I see the results of that and getting rid of some of this old hair, I'll be able to put a plan together. I'll definitely be checking this thread for some ideas and tips :-)

Daily: Conditioner Wash with Tresemme or Dove, airdry in bun or braidout ponytail

Monthly: Shampoo with CON and deep condition with either redken, mizanni, dudleys, or biolage.

When I go home (every 2-3 months) I get my hair professionally flat ironed and trim 1-2 inches of straight ends.

BIG CHOP: August 06

I'll also be moisturizing every other night before I wrap with Mizani H2O or Elasta Mango Butter...

I am wearing braids for the entire year of 2006!

DAILY:
Apply Surge 14 to roots twice or more
Take vitamins, drink water, and massage scalp
Wrap braids and set silk scarf and sleep on silk pillowcase

3-4 times per WEEK:

WEEKLY:
Condition Wash using braid spray or leave-in
Apply Scurl and Salerm 21 - Wrap braids and set silk scarf to air dry

MONTHLY:
Touch up one section of braids at a time, to keep looking fresh and new growth healthy.

I'm still on the fence as to relax or not, but

If I relax,
-cw hair 1-2x a week
-protein every other week
-deep condition every other week
-weekly rollerset (steam rollers)
-I may be missing something since it's been 3 years since I took care of relaxed hair!

If I stay natural
-2 strand twists and flat twists until spring
-kiss routine (s-curl daily, CW whenever I feel like it, deep condition once a month)

2006 REGIME

C & G METHOD
-Exstensions or braid styles worn for two months
-Shampoo every 1-2 weeks with CON or ORS
-Sulfur/oil mix daily on scalp
-Moisturise with S-curl or homemade spray daily

After braids
- Clarify with VO5 or ORS or CON shampoo.
- Deep condition with Joico intensive moisturizer
- Blowdry with keracare serum/shea butter or just airdry in twists
- Continue daily to moisturise with S-curl or homemade spray daily
- Continue to apply sulfur/oil mix daily
- Afrer four days then reapply braids

I'll continue this routine until summer or Autumn

SUPLLEMENTS:

Silica , MSM, Flaxseed oil for faster growth, softer stronger, shinier new hair.

Shampoo with one of the Elucence shampoo's.
Condition with Elucence Conditioner
Put a little in as a leave in
Throw a little oil on top of that if I feel like it
Put in a ponytail or bun

Every so often use Elucence Intensive Moisture treatment

Gosh Den1, your hair color is so pretty!

My new KISS (Keep It Simple, Silly) regimen:

1) Wash and deep condition (w/ heat) and hard press (meaning pressed straight like a relaxer) every 2-3 weeks at salon. I would like to do this every 4 weeks because I generally don't sweat out my presses, but I can't find a good way to cleanse my scalp w/o ruining the press. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

2) Apply WGO to my hair and scalp every 3 days or so.

3) Keep it covered with silk bonnet at home.

4) Wear hair down or in a loose bun.

Specifically avoid:
Brushes
Combing more that 1x a day
Heat (aside from presses, that's more than enough heat!)
Trims
Tight buns

I hope to get 4-5 inches of growth in 2006.

2006 Regimen...

Basically follow Renieces method of weaves....

Plan on having sew in weaves in for up to 8 weeks...(get hair done for less than 5 times next year my pockets are rejoicing right now just the thought of it)
Wash and condition while having weave once a week or once every two weeks
Keep scalp moisturized while in weaves(MTG/ORS Balm/Doo Gro)
Take weaves out and cowash/wash/deep condition for 2 weeks...
Relax(2 weeks after following the cowash/wash/dc for 2 weeks)
then go back to cowashing/wash/dc for another 2 weeks before getting weave put back in...

Vitamins: Silica, HF37,Nioxin, Shen Min....

Since I am transitioning my regimen would change.
New Regimen for 2006:
WHEN IN PROTECTIVE STYLES
Wear braid/weave for 8 weeks,
Wash hair while in braids/weave every two weeks,
Spray surge and S-Curl or African Royale braid spray twice weekly,

OUT OF PROTECTIVE STYLES
Moisturise daily with natural hair products,
Wash and deep condition weekly using a hot towel instead of a hooded dryer,
Do hot oil treatments twice a month,
Put hair back in protective styles after 4 weeks.
Wear protective styles for another 8 weeks.
Cut off the relaxed ends in May

VITAMINS
Prenatals
Flaxseed oil
Vitamin E

PROTECTIVE STYLES
Braids
Weaves
Wigs
African thread wrapping

I want to retain 6 to 8 inches growth in 2006.

Touch up every 3 months with Silk elements mild lye relaxer

Every 2 weeks Shampoo/Condition with Silk Elements moisturizing formula. Apply Rusk Smoother leave-in and Rollerset dry under hard bonnet

Apply MTG to my scalp nightly and moisturize my hair with Optimum care Nourishing Cream.

Apply Hennalucent or a rinse every 6 weeks

haha :lachen: It's funny to see this thread here. I'm so jaded now. My regimen is ultra simple:

-- Wash once each week (twice if I feel the need to, but no more than that)
-- Deep condition every two weeks (once each week max.)
-- Airdry in rollers or bun (up until the new growth starts to drive me crazy, thereafter blow dry on "cool")
-- Flat iron whenever I feel like it, but no more than twice per week (I got me a Solia :) )
-- Put a little moisturizer in it each night
-- Cover with a satin scarf before bed
-- Stretch relaxer 20-24 weeks
-- Trim with each touch up

The No-More List
-- No more braids or kinky twist
-- No more baggy or wet buns
-- No more excessive deep conditionings
-- No more conditioning washes
-- No more sleeping overnight with conditioner caps on
-- No more wash and go

Most importantly I am going to Chill and Enjoy my hair -- trim and wear it down whenever I want to :weird:

Oh yeah, I'm still going strong on my paraben-, synthetic-, and petrochemical-free product regimen/usage :)

I will be using all techniques that I have learned before & after LHCF. I will be adding more herbs in 2006 including flowers of sulfur, burdock root powder, indian hemp powder, nettle, horsetail, and probably others. I will be making 2-3 product changes. ETA: I will be adding some herbs to my carrot creme and some to a carrier base oil for hot oil treatments.

My regimen-

Wash 1x per week.
Double strand twists after wash.
That's about it.

I may get braids in March, but I'm not for certain yet.
I have a ton of product, but I will probably slow down on my PJ itch-since I have prolly tried every product out there. I have enough condish to last a year or two (or three).

Lastly- I love hair dye, but I need to stay away from it in 2006. I just want to see how much it will grow without me doing anything but washing and braiding weekly.

OK, well I think I am going to simplify for 2006, so mine will be:

Weekly:
Shampoo w/ CON or Keracare
Deep Condition w/ Humecto
Salerm leave in w/ WGO
Roller set

Daily:
KeraCare oil for the hair and/or homemade moisture mist

2x/week:
WGO on scalp
EVOO ends

Monthly:
Same as above w/ protein conditioner added. 5 in 1 or Elucence

Every 9 weeks:
Relax with Vitale Life & Body

As needed:
Trim ends, clarifying shampoos

Styling:
Down 1/2 the week, up do's rest of week. NO BRUSHING.
For night, wrap and cover with satin scarf OR 2 scrunchies and silk bonnet OR satin covered rollers (8 or 9) with silk bonnet

okay for 2006 as i ran out of all vitamins i m pump it up another notch and go kinda extreme. i m really be focused on growth, health and leaving the hair to itself after giving it the best nutrients and help it needs hehe :p so i m going all out im trying to go more natural and organic though i m shooting for maaad growth guaranteed!

Trying to keep it as simple as possible...

Daily

-Wear hair in bun (2006 bun challenge).
-Take multivitamin and Biotin supplement.
-At night, moisturize hair with Honey Kissed Hairdress and wrap with scarf, keeping bun in place.

Weekly

-Wash and deep condition with Motions Conditioning Shampoo and Moisturizing conditioner (detangling the hair while in the shower).
-Wet set under dryer after applying infusium 23 and Motions setting lotion spray.
-Moisturize ends with Honey Kissed Hairdress prior to putting in bun.

Every Three Months

-Relax and trim ends.

I am growing out a texturizer.

I plan on double strand twisting my own hair about every two weeks, but washing about every three days (or just once a week, perhaps).

I use UBH products and Cathy believes in giving textured hair as much moisture as possible. To reduce frizz, I'm going to wear a net while washing my hair with conditioner. I think I might mix conditioner, lemon juice and water putting those in a bottle and then spraying on my hair to avoid a bulk of conditioner getting caught between the twists thus making it hard to rinse out fully.

Then I'll spray the protein deep conditioner to my scalp and then to the rest of hair and ends.

I'll sit under the dryer with deep conditioner for about 15 minutes, go back in shower to rinse and then either apply rinse out conditioner or just immediately apply the UBH moisturizing cream to ends or spray the Dew moisturizer.

Also plan on using the MTG (picking it up tomorrow).

I pray this plan will work!
