I was looking through one of my photo albums and found these pics of my relaxed hair. It was so shiny. It did start to thin out from relaxing but I had that swang and shine. I know I don't want to relax but I can't wait til my hair is straightned this length with this health. I was noticing that I looked sooo different with relaxed hair. it does something different to my face. I look young cute and fresh. Now I feel greased and slippery. Even though I'm not I feel like that's what my hair looks like since i wear it wet all the time. Sorry for the big pics. i copy and pasted. And my pics are always big anyways.

Geminigirl! Fight the itch! lol....I know what your saying as well I miss the swing and length in my relaxed hair too, but I'm holding on b'cos for me I know it's a healthier option. Have you straightened your hair since being natural? You probably have a few more months before you get that swang back. :) Hang in there.

I understand. But after being natural for so long seeing myself with curly hair is the norm. Seeing me with straight hair now feels weird. I'm sure that if you give it more time, and reach your goal length, you will feel the same.

You look too cute prego! Fight the itch! think of how long, think and fab a flat iron is going to look on your natural hair this time next year?

I am fighting but I was still in awe thinking about my relaxed hair. Yes my hair was sooo much thicker when I was pregnant. I hardly ever straightened it. After baby I caught the case of flat iron disease and multiple relaxer disease and went to town. Although my hair was still pretty. I KNEW it wasn't healthy and it kept breaking which is what eventually made me transtion.

I can't wait to reach my goal. Ill be happy with my hair healthy and the same length as the pic above. I have only blowdried my hair. no flat iron. I'm scared it won't turn out right. Plus Id hate to put hours into something that is only going to last ten minutes.
