I joined this board in January of this year and I have been addicted since. I just went back to the relaxer in Feb. after being natural for 2years and 9 months. I have finally gotten up the courage to post some photos (even though the face is blurred, I'm shy /images/graemlins/wink.gif ). Anywho, I hope you guys likey and I'll be back with more soon.

BTW, I'm not quite sure how to include text at the bottom of the pictures, but you wouldn't believe that in picture #4 I was actually RELAXED!!!! That was after my first full relaxer in Feb. I told the stylist I didn't want bone straight and that's what she gave me. It's very thick, but it could be roller set or blown out with ease. The picture of me at the bus stop is with it roller set. I have since opted to relax straighter, although still not bone straight.

Hi, Nslewis /images/graemlins/wave.gif I'm glad you finally came out of the shadows. But, unfortunately, the link didn't work.

Okaayyyy. . . can someone who is more computer literate tell me how to post the link to my photos? They're on Yahoo.

Bring up your hair album page, copy the link from the address window, then paste it into your post. btw, make sure you have it on public viewing.

I believe yahoo does not allow "hotlinking"
You may want to set up an account on Fotki.com

HTH!

Sorry den1...I'm an idiot, that's geocities(a part of yahoo) that doesn't allow hotlinking....nevermind /images/graemlins/spinning.gif

Well, when I did a full head relaxer (b/c the first pic is of verrrry lightly texturized hair using elasta) I used motions mild, but now I am back to Affirm, which I used to use when I relaxed b4 and always had fabulous results. Ladies, I have trimmed at least 5-6 inches of hair this year and my hair is a little past my shoulders. It has been growing like a weed and I'm not sure what I can attribute it to b/c I used to take L-Cysteine, Vitamin E, and Evening Primrose Oil, but I ran out this summer and haven't bought more. I will try to post a picture from my camera phone of yesterday's wash and set.

nslewis, are you fully relaxed or texturized? i saw the straight hair pics they also look gorgoeus and healthy?
btw, i love affirm too.
