Have you tried using a diffuser and scrunching to get more volume? Also layering in the right places would give your more volume. I'd say you're a 3b, lots of ppl. would kill to have your hair or at least buy it from Indianhairs. :D
They can have this mess!!!!!
Trust me...there's no Indian in my family!!

can't do it...too self conscious...afraid everyone will whisper "Rock it, don't stop it...do tha jherri Curl!" (what was that from?)

I'd say check your roots to tell your real texture. You might be in the 3 family, but if your roots come in more tightly coiled and the rest of your hair past the new growth is wavy and loosely spiraled it might be because of the repeated heat (from occasional blowdrying/flat ironing). Sometimes heat can loosen your texture up, but the new growth is where it's at when you want to know what type your true texture falls closest to. Your color is really nice!! :) HTH!

The roots are darn near straight, w/ a slight wave...they cause me no problems...it's the REST of the hair that buggggggs me!!

lol, hat's are the best medicine for bad hair days. Looks like you got some good suggestions tho, for trying to get some volume. Hope something works out :)

Your hair looks beautiful as usual, brownsugar9999! :rosebud: I'm not a hairtyping expert by any means, but it looks like Type 3b.

You don't think a little closer to c?? B/C it's not all luscious and pretty like the 3b samples I've seen. More like a Chore boy scrubber sponge w/ a little curl

HUSBAND has never even seen...(and we've been together 10 years!!). Airdried...NO Product....(Lawd help me)...and MAJOR SHRINKAGE!!
Is this 3c or 4a?

You have pretty hair. I think you think more badly of your hair than most people will.

Guuuuurrrrlll, you mean to tell me your hubby has been seeing your hootenanie for 10 years, but never seen your hair without a flat iron!

You're better than me. I figure once a man has seen my hair "down there", he should have no problem seeing my hair "up there."

You're cracking me up!

I think of Type 3c as having a tighter curl than yours.

Definitely 3c! (and beautiful - you're lucky, I'm a 3b/c and my hair air dried with no product is a triangle, flyaway, poufed out mess!!)

We have an understanding...actually, he probably really doesn't care...but he once made a comment YEARS ago about how pretty his first wife's hair was and that was IT!

Thank you ladies...I appreciate the kind words...
However, you know SOME PEOPLE JUST ARE NOT CUTE W/ CURLY HAIR!! I'm one of theose...no ifs/and about it....Over the years , I've tried several different curly styles, and the only one I can get away with is curly and twisted up, like a french roll w/ the ends hanging out up top.....and then the Hubby gets tired of that after while....but you can't say JACK to me when I straighten and bump the ends!!!!:lachen: :lachen: :lachen: :lachen:
