I used to use them in high school when my hair was just pressed, and any kind of moisture makes my hair go poof. It would curl and the curl would stay but it would be a big teased look but i was in drill team so that was perfect, but i would mostly recommend it for relaxed hair.gogo said:sorry if this has already been asked & answered but do any naturals use steam rollers? or is this a product for relaxed ladies....Either way, what sort of results do you get? Seems like steam would be a healthy way to curl the hair as long as one wasn't looking for a straight style. TIA!
No, that would defeat the purpose. Putting steam on something already wet doesn't have an effect on it.swannie said:I don't mean to piggyback, but can Caruso rollers be used on wet hair, as an alternative to an airdried rollerset?
You're welcome Swannie!swannie said:Thanks Isis!

My question is....will my hair remain smooth or will it frizz/puff up after using the rollers? I was wondering because of the steam.
Thanks for any help.
RachelL said:I've found that with using the Caruso rollers, you have to make sure your hair is dry before combing through it, to prevent frizz. I usually leave the rollers in for about 30 minutes in order for my hair to dry fully.

Paladin said:I have a question about the Caruso rollers.
Basically, aren't they sponge rollers? I was under the impression that sponge rollers are generally not good for AA hair and can cause breakage!
What makes Caruso steam rollers different?
