For those of you that use oils, I was wondering what would be the best type of oils to apply to my ends only. I have read about meadowfoam and jojoba; however, I have had no experience using any types of oils.
It is my experience that you really can't go wrong with jojoba oil. It is extremely light. As such, it does not weigh your hair down.
In terms of other oils to apply to your ends, I would also suggest avocado oil. It is heavier relative to jojoba oil--but it does add a nice shine to the ends.
Coconut oil is good also. My only gripe with my coconut oil is that its in a solid form and so it requires a little manipulation to get it to melt.
I don't use carrot oil or shea butter but I am sure someone will chime in with more information about these oils and others.
I love my olive oil! I use it for hot oil treatments, to oil the scalp, for hair's length and ends!!! It does the trick for me and a little goes a long way and it's so cheap!!!!
I use liquid shea butter/shea oil. The oil has been separated (fractionated) from the solid portion of the shea butter, leaving oil only. I find that it is excellent as a hot oil treatment as well.
Try a dab of jojoba mixed with a two pea size amounts of shea butter...rub in your hands it'll all melt together works really well....also works well on your hairline!
