After washing my hair, I always apply oil to seal in my leave-in; but normally I do this after having detangled. Tonight, while wet setting my hair, I made a mistake and put some oil on a section before I started detangling and the tangles just fell out.

So I kept on doing it for the rest of the set. Does anyone else do this? Have I been in the dark? :)

I always aply my leave-in, then my oils, THEN detangle.

I never knew that it helps detangling more.

Who knew...

it makes sense, the oil coats the damp hair making it easier to comb, less friction I use like 4 leave ins when my hair is wet, but i normally use oil as my finishing touch.

I will definitely be doing this from now on. I wonder if the castor oil helped? I used the Mango and Lime Island Oil (which I love!).

I always apply oil after detangling. I have always thought my hair becomes a little sticky with the oil in it. But I will give this other way a try.
