im getting a touch up this friday. i would like to know if it would be ok to oil my scalp with ors carrot oil. ive heard that u shouldnt even touch ur scalp a week prior to relaxing, let alone put oil on it. any suggestions or comments?
I oiled my scalp a few days before my last touch-up with Hollywood Beauty Castor Oil. I plan to keep this up. I did it after reading some tips by a stylist named Marvin that someone posted.
I've never used ORS Carrot Oil. Although, my stylists bases my scalp before applying the relaxer I still will continue to do what I said above.
There are some folks that base their scalp a day or two prior to a relaxer touch up. I don't see why it wouldn't be ok. Just be sure to apply it gently so the scalp won't get irritated.
The last couple of relaxer touch ups that I've gotten, I didn't have my scalp based at all. I used to burn easily a long time ago, but I don't any more (thank goodness).
I use the spray sheen oil with vitamins to oil my scalp the nigth before or sometimes an hour prior to a relaxer touch up. Using the spray can is soooo much easier...no mess, no fuss just section then spray, but dont over do it.....my hair comes out perfect everytime.
