Oiling hair with a weave: Experts come on in

I received a pm from a new member about using oil with weaves:

hi,

i'm new to the forum and had a question about applying oil. i've been wearing a weave for 4 years and i'm not sure how to use oil. apart from just applying it to wet hair, how can i incorporate oil in my hair regimen?

I dont have much experience with weaves and have only recently began using oil regularly on my own hair. Can anyone tell her how you use oil with your extensions? TIA

I mix a little oil in my leave in and spray my braids. Or put oil alone in an applicator bottle to get to the scalp/ braids. Make sure not to get too much oil on the weave so it will not look stringy/clumped together.
