i believe that i am a 3c-medium texture- always curly unless blown straight or pressed straight-my hair is dry- best oils-jojoba, dabur amla and coconut. But i love those cremes even more-i use both when i feel like i need it-i use lekair olive oil cholesterol creme and lekair shea butter cholesterol creme, also hair mayonnaise and currently cornrow magic(creme) while in cornrows. My rule creme during the day and oil at nite.
i prefer creme- ORS carrot oil, dove intense moisture conditioner, CD healthy hair butter.
i like oils- like castor, coconut or jojoba for hot oils.
what exactly do you mean by oil moisturizer? because oils dont moisturize, they seal in moisture. most lotion/creme moisturizers have water and some sort of oil in it.
My favorite so far is Elasta QP recovery...its light but just heavy enough. Another thing Ive found is one day I left my air turned way down by accident and my coconut oil went solid. I actually liked the consistency and didnt melt it back, id get a little out and rub it b/t my hands and it would melt a little...it really smoothed and softened my hair. Kinda reminded me of shea butter which I havent tried in a long time, need to revisit that!

But do yall have problems with ya'll ends becoming frizzy after use of cremes such as ORS Olive Oil, or Profectiv Healthy Ends?
I use both. If my hair is really damaged/dry, I use it at night. Otherwise I use cream in the morning for styling purposes and oil at night for healing/moisture purposes.
I definitely prefer creme. Oil moisturizers usually contain oil AND petroleteum/mineral oil which makes my hair superdry after a day or two. If my hair is in need of oil, i will just apply my creme moisturizer and then put a coat of oil on top of it. like jojoba or hot6. I use mainly UBH creme and sommetimes i'll use eqp recovery oil moisturizer though it does have a lil mineral oil in it... and i'll rarely use EQP mango butter...i dont use any other moisturizers besides those...
I like to use oil moisturizers for the first 3 weeks of a relaxer, then I use creme moisturizers. I noticed that after 4 weeks, the cremes hold moisture much better than oil moisturizers.
I have type 4a/b (extremely dry) hair, so oil moisturizers are better for my hair when wearing protective styles; otherwise, cream moisturizers are better when I'm wearing my hair out and my hair isn't weighed down.
I like using oils that are in the form of a creme on wash days (Shea butter, ORS olive oil, ORS carrot oil) . Since I airdry it both moisturizers and seals at the same time for me.
For my daily use I enjoy using water based creme moisturizers (NTM silk touch leave in, Giovanni Direct Leave-in, Aveda brilliant damage control spray) to rehydrate my extremely dry hair and then I seal with oil.
