oil in hair good or bad??

Well, I was on the oil is bad side..but I got some Kemyi Oil last night and I mixed a bit with my Neutrogena silk touch leave in and the Serum and blew my hair out...mind you I only used like a drop or two of the oil....But I'm back on the oil bandwagon..That stuff has my hair shiny! And it isn't all greasy and it still has movement...I guess it's how much you use.

You know, I've only discovered recently that I need just a little bit of oil on my hair. My hair loves anything water-based and I find that when I have too much oil on, it gets dry as the day goes on. So while I'm not completely cutting it out of my routine (because it's great for softening) I've cut back on how much I use.

My hair loves oil and oil-based products...hates water-based products. Oil good or bad just depends on your hair.

I have found that my hair doesn't really like oil too much it just sits on my hair but my hair does love butters

I like a very small amount of a light oil on wet hair. They don't do me any good once my hair is dry.

It seems that the people on this board were set against using oil in hair. Has that changed?

I don't think folks were really set against oils. They just don't work well for some folks. I think I'm one of these people. If I use plain oil, my hair is a rough, oily mess...but if I use a hair butter, I get better results.
