Hi Everyone,
I am normally a lurkier but wanted to share this information. You guys have helped me with my hair so much over the last couple of months. And I wanted to Thank You...
Sunblock on your hair makes it very soft and manageable. I put it on my ends too that were very frizzy, but now they are well moisturized. I used a Target brand name with SPF 23. The bottle is yellow and blue. The active ingredients are: Octyl Methoxycinnamate and Octyl Salicylate. It also contains: Aloe Vera Extract, Vitamine E, Hydrolyzed Collagen and Elastin. On the bottle it states it protects from harmful UVA and UVB rays.
The way I used it last night was with a wrap. I put the lotion in the palm of my hands and rubbed together. Then put in my hair. I wrapped my hair by making a part from Ear to Ear. Hair sticking out in front and back. Using a wide toothcomb, starting on the left ear side, I combed the hair from left to right going in circular direction towards right ear to back of head. Then I started from the back at right ear and combed hair in circular direction to left ear and forehead. Then I put the Sunblock lotion around the hairline front, back and side and smoothed down with fine tooth comb. Wrapped my hair in silk scarf and went to bed. Next morning, combed hair down in direction of wrap, made part in hair and more sunblock on hairline in front. My hair looked great. It was not greasy or heavy. It was just soft and straighted.
Let me know if this works for anyone else. Oh, I have 4B hair and I relax every 8 weeks. Currently, I am in my 4th week. I am a product junkie also, as you can tell I try anything on my hair.
