Oh no- is this happening to anyone?

Not sure if it's good or bad or either, but when I look at people (usually females) nowadays, I see them in terms of my goals! Like a girl would pass with hair at her chest or so and I'll be thinking "ahhh...there's my August goal" or something like that! (I usually don't see ones with hair shorter than mine or I'll thinking- 'ok, my hair is past that')

Is this happening to anyone else?

Yep! I do that also! I go, hmmmmmmm I could reach that length in about 4 months, etc etc. Hey, at least it's better than hating on their hair

LOL when people have a coulor job and their roots begin to show, ill be thinking thats about three inches of newgrowth so they must have dyed their hair 6 months ago.

I really want long hair badly (not TOO badly). I look at and evaluate hair all the time!

side note: today someone was calling me in class because I left my umbrella in the classroom. she said "say u, with the blue short and the long hair," and i couldnt believe she was talking to me! i guess its long to her because she has short hair... who knows.

I do it all the time. But, now that I am transitioning it seems like all I see are naturals.

Boston doesn't have a lot of black people, but I go to a black church with lots of people from the islands. I do a lot of hair coveting in church...

The girls and women there are beautiful overall, not just hair.

I don't think in terms of my hair's progress, though. I'll get to bra strap sometime this year given my growth rate, but I don't have the months all plotted out.

I always try to gauge when I will be at bra strap.I also bothered my bf asking him if my hair is longer than this particular girl's weave.

I do find myself checking out other ladies hair a lot lately. ya know to see if its damaged or is it healthy, if its long and healthy I will some times inquire as to what do they do. The answer is the usual I don't do nothing to my hair. Makes me mad that I'm having to do all this stuff for just an extra inch. But ah well, life goes on and so do I.
