ok i had to shout out my hair buddy Nubian Queen. as some of you may recall about a year ago she was put on blast by a member here on another board. so many haters took it upon theirselves to to put nasty lil things about her on the board and totally took over her guest book with 100+ posts well what a difference a year makes. She has allowed me to do her hair on a regular basis since we met on the board and her hair has grown tremendously. She is out of town but she allowed me to take a pic i hope she doesnt mind me posting:

so what exactly have you been doing to her hair???
i need to know

hee hee! i cant take all of the credit. i do occasional scalp peels (similar to chemical peel for face), i corn row every mo or 2 i text about every 6mo she trusted me enough to trim it once and this time i did the blowout and flatiron

now i give her most of the credit because she keeps it cornrowd moisturized oiled and bagged on the DAILY she uses all kinds of person concoctions so you guys can drill her on that when she gets back

HEY GUYS, haven't seen you all in a while....BOTH of you a doing a fantabulous job, NubianQueen's hair look awesome, when I step foot in the LV, I have a standing appointment...LOL hit a sister up with a PM every now and then...

I have never heard of scalp peels. What do you use and what is the process?
Thanks in advance

Awwww:blush: Thanks Cousin!!!

I have been obsessed (I mean a member) with this board and hair for several years now and until I met MsPortugal, my hair never retained soooo much growth or looked soooo healthy! She has the patience of a saint and is real serious about hair. She doesn't overlap nor does she overprocess. She meticulously checks my ends to make sure they are not split. She makes time for me even though we live on other sides of the state and when I run late (ALWAYS) she has the same sweet smile and demeanor. She even got me to the airport in record time! As I flew threw the airport with only two minutes to get all the way to the gate, I was soo loving my hair. She once again made it swang and bounce! I am truly blessed.

Thanks for the wonderful replies ladies. What a nice surprise to wake up to such beautiful comments. Like she stated, I am out of town, but I still have to get my LHCF fix. I have cut down to once a day seeing as I am actually here to visit my loved ones!

Anyway, I will respond to any questions when I get home. I do not want to be rude by being away from everyone too long seeing as they changed their schedules to spend time with me. You've made my day!!:D

Wow! You are both to be congratulated. Nubian Queen I'm so happy for your progress. The hair looks great in your wash-n-go style, braids, or flat-ironed. And Msportugal...what a friend you are to encourage Nubian Queen along the way. To help with trims and probably much more! God bless you for your kindness! May your hair dreams come true, too!

hey guys the skin peels are for the face i think it includes a glycolic peel, oxygen cream, skin water ???, and grape seed oil extract I think the point of it is to remove builtup skin etc from the scalp in order to let the hair grow freely i think she got the info from vickid you guys might do a search she has been doing them for about a yr

great progress!... why all the negative comments may i ask? haters???

the comments had to do with one of her earlier pics and the tshirt with the progress on it it started a whole uproar on if she should chop it all off and start over or if she should nurse it and stay the course. of course i advised to stay the course her hair was uneven and thin on the ends but they were not at all damaged or split so i said just grow it out as she is always in a protective style. i think her hair has only been worn out 2xs including this time over the last year+

Wow her hair is beautiful!!!!!! Keep growing girl!!!!! Keep the haters hating cause your hair is growing beautifully!!!!!!

Nubian Queen Great progress!!! Very Pretty! :)

Msportugal: Great Job! As far as sitting while doing hair, my cousin is a stylist and uses a bar stool to sit in. She's been doing it that way for over 30 years. Her feet and legs never hurt.

What's a scalp peel--http://biokorium.com/hairandmakeup.html, Scroll down to Biokorium Scalp peeling treatment. It's the best thing I've ever done for my hair and scalp. It's basically the same thing as giving your scalp a medium glycolic peel and microdermabrasion. It removes all the dirt, sweat, product build-up, etc. After 2 treatments, my bald spots started growing hair! My hair has totally grown back and is healthy. Now, I get them about 5 times a year. The owner, Vivian, was experiencing hair loss and her husband who is a pharmacist, formulated this to make her hair grow. It's a little bit expensive $75 each but it works!!!

Looks like all of the questions have been answered!:) Thanks ladies for the lovely comments! Special shout out to MsPortugal for taking such good care of my hair and thanks to vickid for the scalp peels!

I'm so very happy!! I feel like a new woman wearing my own hair for the first time in a couple of years and even that was only for a brief time.:look:
